LD 30 said to be a tight race

- Now the Lakewood Orthodox community made a concentrated early vote push when no such push existed in Monmouth. The share of Lakewood will decline in the final total, but by how much? Political Election Projections

- Analysis from Elections daily on the 3oth district:
"That is why the 30th holds influence. Schnall is not liberal by any means, and his candidacy is more for helping bring forward Lakewood’s agenda. Schnall realizes he will have more control over the majority than the minority and help with leading issues in Lakewood and the district, like roadway infrastructure and transportation. He will likely vote the party line but would likely break away on more àa issues such as codifying abortion rights. Schnall may play a decisive in some close votes, but the Democratic lead in the legislature will likely only require his vote on issues needing a 2/3 majority.

Conclusion
Today’s election will be a paramount test of the strength of religious politics and bloc voting. Suppose Schnall fails to win or even comes close. In that case, it will likely be a stark reminder that modern political history is changing and is starting to see polarization and partisan identification replace conventional factors like candidate strength and fundraising. Democratic leaders eagerly watch the 30th, with southern Jersey Democrats particularly keen on a Schnall win. No matter the outcome, the race should not be examined for cues of national elections. Lakewood is becoming solidly GOP on the state and national level, and if Schnall faces an enormous defeat, it can be assumed Lakewood is done voting for Democrats, period. However, a Schnall victory does not mean Lakewood will become competitive again for Democrats; it just means a viral candidate with institutional support can still have a shot. More

- Acting Commissioner of Education Angelica Allen-McMillan is again trying with all her might to delay funding Lakewood’s unique demographic situation. Despite that we remain in debt by $200 million, the Lakewood Board of Education..... Luckily, R' Aron (Arthur) Lang is standing strong and urging the New Jersey Appellate Division to tell the Commissioner "no way!" faanews

-New Jersey voters still care most about taxes and the economy and say they will be the biggest factors in casting their ballots on Election Day, according to the latest Rutgers-Eagleton Poll.

- Political insiders aren't convinced Gov Murphy  is sticking with NJTurnpike  veto of 3% toll hikes. “He says he needed more info, that leaves him an out to ... say, ‘I got more info and this increase is going to be approved after the election.’” -

-BDE: Petirah of Reb Shlomo Greenspan Z”L originally from Chicago moved recently to Lakewood heewas 74 Levaya today 2:30pm iat the lakewood chapel off 7th street

  1. I voted for the people who going to fight for me - school board E.M.S. Township - Harold, Rep - Schnall. Hope they all win! If I am to worry about the Government getting involved in education, or Aiva, I should be more concerned about the millions of dollar’s coming directly to Lakewood from changing
The formula than Avi Schnals tax credit.

    1. Are you part of the Schnall PR team paid to comment stupidity?
Aaron Lang formula fix is money for the public school kids
Shnall uenj tax credit will end up funding private Arab schools in NJ and the yeshivos won't get anything

    2. Huh, so fix the for formula is going to only benefit the Public school kids??? Are you serious? Are we all so patriotic and fighting for the PS? If the formula gets changed Millions of dollars are going to come Lakewood with a good chunk of it heading towards private school programs - money that currently comes from local taxpayers.. do your research

    3. Fixing the formula brings more money to the Board of Ed.

Right now, we need to pay for the public school out of pocket, and we owe hundreds of millions of dollars for that. We will repay that debt, and with interest. Fixing the formula will repair this.

Right now, the BOE has to pay for mandated services for our Kehilla. Bussing, special ed, and more. We pay for this with taxes and loans from the State. If we had more money, our bussing could be repaired, we could have better support for Special Ed.

Right now, we have a failing public school system. The PS children are, and will be, our problem. We cannot shirk achrayus for them, because we all live in town with them. And cutting services for them is a real cause for anti-semitism, see Monsey.

Fixing the formula is our only solution, and it has no corruption.

  2. We have to take action and it is already a little late in the season – the Orthodox Jews have to wake up and realize they have to vote not for what somebody promises to give them some benefit, some handout, some small program or some privilege. I want to tell you that there are Jewish askanim, Orthodox askanim, who are supporting congressmen who are trying to undermine America. The congressman comes to the frum Orthodox askan and he offers him some privileges so he chaps, he seizes it. “Ah, my shtiebel will get special privileges, my rebbe will get special privileges, my yeshivah will get special privileges.” Meanwhile, he doesn’t care a hoot what’s going to happen to America. This congressman is undermining America! We have to vote not for a person who promises a handout, a benefit. We vote for the overall benefits to America because when America benefits, the Orthodox Jew is also going to benefit.

    2. The money will cover the state mandated programs for private schools too and taxes will go down but the funding is not exclusive for the private schools

      Delete
    3. Do you think the APP will care, that that the millions of dollars coming to Lakewood from fixing the formula is not exclusively for private schools? Nothing is exclusive Schnalls plan isn’t exclusive to Lakewood either! Fact is, the funds from fixing the formula - that is Millions of dollars from the state coming to Lakewood, looks way worse.

    4. You are grasping for straws with no argument
First of all Lang had media coverage for 9 years not once did any outlet including APP call it a exclusive gift to Lakewood the formula will change other school districts too. It's about public state funds allocation
You are a troll probably working for the establishment

  5. Many people are wondering how schnall 1 Assemblyman may get anything from the state well here may be your answer.Just came across this from insidernj.com “If the Democrats retain Assembly control, with their current 46-34 majority or less, as appears likely, they will need every single non-Republican vote to be assured passage of critical bills. This will give Schnall considerable negotiating leverage for passage of his own legislative agenda promoting his district’s interests and thus put him in the figurative “catbird seat.”

  6. Unprecedented this entire election campaign is to satisfy the power hungry group who hijacked our lives to satiate their adrenaline rush from the Philly concert they couldn't wait a few more months and it's cheaper than spending millions so they planned this in the office chain smoking for the last month just to make them feel good they may have won the battle and fooled enough people but in the end they lost the war the olam will be disgusted from it and no longer support the movement

First, they insult us all with signs like this. Then, they come and ask for our vote?!

They must be putting up such bad garbage that they feel the need to beg & beg so much.
They can't really have anything worth voting for, if they feel the need to push so hard.
I vote for Moshiach, not Trump, Not Netanyahoo, not Sch...whatever. Moshiach Ben Dovid bimharo byomeinu, believe me we need him. When the so called gedolim, believe Sch.. is the yeshuah, we are living in the greatest hesech hadaas possibble. Moshiach now. Only Moshiach will be our slavation, this other stuff, just shows aich noflu giboirim.
In a time when 240 of ours are captive by the world's biggest achzorim, they bother the so called gedolom with who will bring more money home, to the special interests at all costs, even offending those who have been good to us in office. They don't know if they will win or not, but tread on eggshells anyway.
