For that reason, we were able carry and hold on to Republican seats, including Assemblyman Sean Kean and Senator Bob Singer. 1. I am wondering whether the Hareidi Jewish community in Lakewood is considering attending the upcoming mass pro-Israel rally in Washington this Tuesday. Notably, the Baltimore Vaad Harabonim and the Agudah Yisroel have encouraged their members to participate, emphasizing the significance of this event.

As we come together during these challenging times, I firmly believe that our unified presence at this rally will reflect our care and support for Israel, transcending religious observance differences. This demonstration of solidarity not only embodies our love for our homeland but also showcases our collective strength as a community.

In the spirit of unity, it might be pertinent to ensure that any local Hareidi rabbis have been consulted regarding this rally. Their guidance and perspective could further enrich our communal understanding and approach to this meaningful event.

The present times call for a strong display of solidarity and unity. I sincerely believe that our participation in this rally will serve as a powerful expression of Kiddush Hashem, reinforcing our shared values and support for Israel

    1. You write 'transcending religious observance differences' as though that were a value.

Could you explain that? In our world, our religious position is our defining characteristic

    3. Rav Yitzchok Sorotzkin, Rosh Yeshiva of Telz and Lakewood Mesivta, member of the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah, and author of about 80 seforim on Shas and Tanach gave a drasha and he said at around 27 minutes, that the whole idea of going to the Washington Rally is treif like chazer. It's not going to help, it's going to make it worse - and it destroys the entire purpose of why Hashem brought this tzara on klal yisrael. As it's exactly the opposite of what Hashem wants from us.

The hate of the non-Jews is unprecedented across the world and every gov't - it's going to become extremely dangerous outside Eretz Yisroel, (quoting
רבי יהונתן אייבשיץ / יערות דבש / but in Eretz Yisroel we have the extra special shemirah from Hashem.

Rachmana Latzlan, the demonstrations are counter-productive, the Arabs, Muslims and non-Jews are going to counter demonstrate, and they have much more people then us, and their malice and cruelty, it's opening up a tremendous sakana gedolah. It's going to antagonize all the colleges, non-Jews, and the Muslims.

These rally's should stop, and we should not go to these places. We do not belong in this places. They can incite the non-Jews around us. Chas v'shalom to think that this is what Hashem wants from us

We have to be careful and not go there. It's not our salvation.

One more thing the routes are not being updated there are shuttles going at 6:00 at night but you will not find them on the Lakewood town's web site.

She has Israel's back, and if she would have been in office, who knows how much better things would be?

He is tougher on the Soviets than anyone, and the first to actually send two our our super-powerful naval battle groups with the clear intention to protect Israel. And submarines. American arms are all over the zone. "We have Israel's back." Did we ever think we'd hear a president say that?

    5. Trump was right for wanting to take us out of NATO. As he said when is there is no existing conflict and you move hostile soldiers closer to a countries borders you are more likely to cause a war than prevent one. Being that Putin invaded countries under Obama and Biden but not with Trump he seems to have been correct. Trump is the only president in the past 100 years to not to mix US soldiers into new conflicts and decrease the amount in previous ones. Trump brokered more peace treaties than any president in recent history. As above I despise Trump. But credit has to be given where it's due.

As zionis as Rav Meir Simcha or the Dvar Avrhom or the Marcheshes. I guess that Rav Lazer Silver was there that’s also no good because in your eyes he was also a Zionist Rav Yakov Kamenetski was also a Zionist as when he came to America he joined Mizrochi. So was Rav Yisroel Rosemberg head of Agudas Harabonim and instrumental to help Rav Aron in Hatzolo and founding BMG. Yes very Zionist because in your ignorance everyone is a Zionist except the one they told that they are not. To equate that to have someone that represents open orthodoxy really leaves me wondering. I guess by u if u r not a satmerer you are a Zionist like the Ponovizer Rov R Chazkel Sarna R Chaim shmulebitz and the list goes on . 13. I just saw the Lakewood newspapers. All this achdus, all this talk of hakaros hatov, this last election shows that this whole system is absolutely bizarre. All I asked for was for the lowest elected position to work with, the BOE, and I could not get that. Shouldn't the achdus, making our voice heard, be behind the one issue that no one thought could be won, yet the most important in our history and the court victory having the attention of the highest levels of all three branches of government? Why are we sending someone to Trenton to have a seat at the table, if we are already there, and own the table?

And then you have the lawyer saying he is opposed because if he would support us, the BOE would be sued. 1) there is no such thing as educational malpractice 2) contract law does not apply 3) sovereign immunity 4) it is the state's fault, not the BOE's. There is no cause of action.

I don't care because I am not going to deal with those that opposed us in court, kept me at the bottom of the company ladder, and would not even allow me to speak to them at this crucial time in the litigation, or during the last ten years. Not because they opposed me in their court papers, not because some said to rabbanon that they don't trust me, but because they have breached the pubic trust. It is not nekama to not to "do favors" for those who have breached the pubic trust and will likely continue to do so. It is not even clear to me that they are acting even in their own interest. So I would suggest that they get some new people into office and get them to learn the formula, and then tell me what they need at the right time, show me that these people are honest, and I will deal with them.

When our bussing, special education, SCHI and other out-of-district special education, taxation, spending, non public stuff, is all up for grabs, and all of it would anyway have been at risk due to our debt, and the state has been blaming us for all our problems for two decades, so we know what the state is going to say against Lakewood, that we are rich, we didn't change zoning to prevent Jewish people moving here (mamash discriminatory to say that), the interests of these people will not be represented. I won't be talking to all those who did not let me talk to them. They are going to need elected officials that I can deal with, or better yet, I trust enough that I can get out and let them take over.

It has nothing to do with hashkafa, da'sas Torah, gedolim; it's all bottom line business. We are risking everything for achdus for the purpose of achdus (I mean really now, you have achdus for someone just entering politics but not someone already winning there), but not achdus for the sake of the continuity of our economic viability as a kehilla. I will do my best to further what make sense as to all the interests, but the kids will take priority, not the bosses, or whatever it is these people are pushing and selling out to the governor for.

It zichur is b'syata d;shmaya, a blessing in disguise, because if we settle, such a settlement will be only for Lakewood. On the other hand, if we fight to the Supreme Court and win, it will help every frum community in NJ, and by way of example, America.

I know the limits of my own capabilities and I do not have the capacity to understand what the people of Lakewood want or need. I do know they need the formula fixed, and I know how to turn around the public schools, but I cannot be involved in defending all the other interests of the kehilla. Yes, I can defend against the claims of the state, that we have wealth, we should raise taxes, of course not as well as if I had help, but I do not understand the needs of the mosdos and other interests, and would rather have people to work with that have a better understanding of our frum community. It is not about me other than that I want to win like a mountain climber, because the victory, "it is there," but ultimately, let others, honest people, take charge. A L

    3. The problem is that all of the big people knew. That is totally messed up because they understand the formula and what we are doing more than most people. So there is no excuse other than business as usual, meaning this guy has this turf, and the other has his own turf, and maybe some nursing home peddler from NY got involve but was too occupied to hear the most important issue in frum community economic stability in American history. Everything is so bizzare. It cannot e explained other than in a way that people are just plain not smart.

      2. You are right that the leaders should have helped. But you should know that help from the 'leaders' comes with a price, and you don't want to pay that price.

      3. Those that count, the true Talmidei Chachamim in Lakewood, supported Lang and his suit. The problem is that they are not photogenic, or rich.

    6. Am I right in not wanting to work with these people when the time comes or do I have to swallow my pride for the good of the kehilla? I have been holding a grudge against the Igud and BOE since 2014 when they shouted me down b'rabbim when I announced that I was filing suit. That probably would have change if a single one of them apologized did something l'maasa to help. These guys are all words. The babble as much as I type. But you can just turn the page on the written word while if you are in an audience, we have to listen to thier chanifa, hakaros hatov. I mean really, in 2014, all the emails back and forth, thnking this guy or that guy (for being a jerk or whatever kissing up they do, I still have them all. I think I am going to post one), Will it be wrong to tell them to "get lost" when they will come with their palms open when it is all over? I don't know. I guess we will have to see what they want and if it avaricious, we will tell them off but for the common good, I guess we will have to hear them out beforehand. A L

    7. After kissing up to all of them at the huge political meeting that would determine Lakewood's (non)future, saying yesher kosch to this gangstelach, thank you to this wimp, hakaros hatov to this committeeman who talked and talked, "Duh, Let's register our kids in the public schools," this email went out from the BOE president to all bosselachs on July 07, 2014.

Hatzlocha rabba! As to the Lang's petition, our attorneys had concern about the way the petition was structured and strong possibility of it being dismissed. Last week we conveyed to Mr.Lang our concerns, he said he needs to look in to it with his teacher/mentor from ELC and yesterday he said that he is going to amend the petition. For us to litigate this petition will cost hundreds of thousands and before we bring it to the boards vote we need to make our due diligence that we wont be left with egg on our face. There is a meeting hosted by ECL on July 15 re: Former Bacon District Case which i asked the superintended and our attorney to attend.
      Thank you
      (Name deleted)

I set them up with Sciarra and they joined him in reviving the Bacon case in which Judge Metzger in 2003 found that Lakewood was rich, wasting money on courtesy bussing, and should be taxing more rather than asking for more state aid. I tried to explain that we needed to start over and create a new record. Guess, we did just that, but then they tried to get that record thrown out of court in 2021 by saying that I did not allow the district administrators to testify about how good the public schools in Lakewood really are (they testified that they were not good) and how much they improved. Such hypocrisy, perfidy and avariciousness. And this whole thing about Schnall is so dumb because the man also opposes the court ruling. The public celebration and yesher ko'achs are misdirected. And the newspapers got it wrong. His election shows the political misfortune of Lakewood, not flexing of its muscle, because it is all going to implode when we are going to need everyone to stand together to get more state aid and to forgive the debt, but there will be too much bad baggage to get it done in an optimal way. Everyone is going to be at this brother's neck fighting over how the law should be written or who should pay for what (state or Lakewood, or Township, who knows?) and who should get whatever. I just hope I am finished by then and won't have to deal with because I only have one goal, fixing the formula. Who gets what is not my concern.

Since the lawsuit obviously has merit, why not bring Lang onto the team? This is his life and he has immersed himself in all the issues. Why not bump him up slightly in the District (he is already an employee) so that he can do 90+% of the work as an employee of the District?

Let’s cut to the chase. “Our” attorneys are asleep at the wheel with their million dollar fees and Lang got this going on his own on a shoestring and virtually no help from the establishment. Why should we pay hundreds of thousands for some clueless outsiders to second guess his work? It will only delay and stifle
