  1. I'm sure all the local businesses appreciate the man with the truck from BP

    1. If the local businesses would have prices like his I’d be happy to shop there. However, very proudly being a Kollel wife living a Kollel lifestyle, I need to shop at places that fit my Kollel lifestyle budget. I thank you sincerely for your understanding and non judgment.

  2. Lakewood stores are not affordable for most families the clothing and food prices are way above budget and the mark up for profit is insane. The stores are all catering to the top 30% a average family can't afford anything in Lakewood not food rent housing clothing etc..
The leadership could care less as all their buddies and fat cats are lining their pockets off the backs of the poor while they raise their salaries by raising taxes.
What's happening in Lakewood is disgraceful taking over a kolell town and pricing out the residents in all levels of social and economic living

  3. Can someone explain the prime tenants side. Is there one? As i see it we have a large group of yeshavalite in arakos and refusing to go ledin. Why is there not a geshrai against this chilul hashem? Or am I missing something.

    1. Oh so when it’s tenants who are mosrim it’s a chillul Hashem, but to hire a lawyer to fight a shul isn’t a chillul Hashem??????

    2. For some reason, the accepted Batei Din are not issuing any seruvim. Only the ones that Talmidei Chachamim, Dayanim. and Rabbanim generally ignore.
      I wonder why.

    3. If many yeshivaleit are doing something that seems strange, maybe we baaleibatim don't know the full story. Yeshivaleit have a chezkas kashrus.

When the chasidim daven after zman tfila, we don't make a machaa. We assume the Rebbes know what they're doing.

    4. Sounded to me like the Landlord decided to jack up the rent refusing to follow the minhag Hamokom and posek that raises should be limited to a 5 percent increase.the landlord Used a lease agreement that was written in a funny way - it inflated their rental price but gave them some kind of rebate/discount against the tenants showing that their rent is really much higher. The tenants signed the inflated rental agreement which unbeknownst to them the reason it was written in such a manner was to trick the banks..

    5. Maybe not knowing the full story is complete miscalculation of Dan lekaf zechus.

We are held responsible when we don't protest wrongdoing.

    6. I am looking for someone to explain the full story not just avoid it by whataboutism. The only one who attempted is 5:33 but that is not an explanation as to why not go ledin.
As to Mr. 4:20 say what you want about the other batie din but B"D beis yosef also put out a siruv. Ignoring the tumult over the name speak to any dayanim or rabbanim, the dayanim are very highly regarded.

    7. "wonder"?!
Because those refuse to be part of the plutocrat stink collusion
Ten righteous can redeem the whole city

    8. The reason why very very few Batei Din don't write seruvin is that they don't issue hazmanot.

You either come to that Bet Din willingly, or go to another bet din din like this.

  4. There was plenty of koching in general and on this forum beprat anti voting for schnall. Anti the rally, just for two recent examples even though no one was doing anything about it. The question is why is there no koching at least here about this massive chilul hashem. Does the oilam just care about politics and not kavod shamayim or is there another side to the story I'm not hearing about.

    1. Read the comments above and you'll get a pshat on why the oilam is not koching about the tenants. (HINT: We all support them)

    2. In the case of Schnall and the rally it wasn't a situation of two opposing sides where you only heard from one. Everything was either on public record or clearly political speculation about theoretical impact. By Prime Apartments where there is another side to the story you are not hearing about what is the hetter to comment?

  6. The Bais Din system is 100% broken. It only works for the rich, or the
    " Chashuvim".

  7. There is a strong lack of trust in the Bais Din system. Its about time that the oilam haTorah (or the oilam haHefkervelt) figure out a way to get everyone else to trust and respect the Bais Din system. And that won't happen by making macha'as and claiming its a chilul hashem. Try a better way. What can you do to get people to respect the Rabanim?

  9. Either
    a. Tear the system to the root
    b. Have the system show respect to the worthy mavericks & distinguished whistleblowers & follow wherever that takes it
