    1. No way!
We want Moshiach in Lakewood too! With Chassidus, Moshiach will come. And true Chassidus is only in Lubavitch.
Don't be scared, take out a Sefer Hama'amarim and learn a Ma'amar. Your Neshama will be purified.

  4. Huge problem is that if somehow we get the loans forgiven and possibly $100 million a year for the district Murphy will oppose and resist making the recommendation to the legislature because he wants Mrs. Murphy to get Lakewood’s vote which she surely won’t if he helps Lakewood .The Vaad will almost certainly play hard ball and threaten to withdraw their support if he we successfully get a real and permanent change to the formula out of the court. 1. Maybe get rid of Abbott districts, so the state will have money for other districts, so they won't complain that some districts need more money others so as to be fair to everyone.

    2. Abbott districts were abolished under the SFRA of 2008. Lakewood's problem is that the nonpublic students are not counted at all. Even though the Vaad and Township spent millions of dollars to litigate the cause over the past two decades, now that we won, they will do everything in their power to sabotage that win. Lakewood is like the Bizzaro world in the old Superman comics. I don't think there is anywhere in America in which the voters are commanded to support positions so obviously against the public welfare.

Technically they were abolished, but practically speaking, overwhelming state funding for education is for the Abbot districts. School districts throughout the state resent that, but are powerless to stop it. Just like they will resent additional funding for Lakewood district, though they sort of realize the special circumstances of Lakewood.
