- Rav Aaron Feldman shlita Rosh Yeshiva Ner Yisroel Baltimore spoke about attending the rally in Washington DC. He quoted the rabeinu Yona about התחברות לרשעים that it is a איסור דאורייתא and the long standing policy of Agudas Yisroel is not to join or partner any event demonstration or rally which the reform and other apikorsim are in charge of. However being that the current situation is pikuach nefesh as Israel does not have anough weapons to sustain itself it needs America to help, the agudah will not partner but agreed to passively send out fliers to their members and mailing lists encouraging balei batim to go, as the more people who go to Washington it will impress upon congress the support that they could lose if they succumb to pressures from the moslems in the US but yeshiva bochurim should not go and agudah urges everyone to go to show the amount of people that are supporting the war against Hamas

- Former NY Gov Andrew Cuomo calls for the national guard to be deployed around Jewish communities and shuls following rash of anti Semitic attacks in NY "I stand with the Jewish community: an attack on any NYer is an attack on every NYer It’s time to deploy the National Guard to places of worship & send a clear message: hate has no place in NY & any who traffic in it will be held responsible to the fullest extent of the law"
Netanyahu: "I warned Hezbollah, don't enter the war, it would be your worst mistake All Hamas operatives must die, and we are going to continue full force. We are also very well-prepared in the North"
- The IDF has advanced around the extremely high-density buildings of Al Shati camp towards the east of the Shifa hospital.Further advances from the South bring the hospital within 700 meters of being surrounded, if it hasn't been already.
Yeshivas Har Etzyon: we are asking for prayers. Elisha, the son of Rosh Yeshiva, HaRav Yaakov Medan was badly injured fighting in battle protecting Am Yisrael. Please keep Elisha Yehuda ben Ruti

- NYC's Grand Central Station shut down by hundreds of pro-terrorist, Hamas/Palestinian rioters who kicked in doors as they demanded a ceasefire in the ongoing war between Hamas terrorist & Israel leads to six rioter arrests, windows broken, officers injured
Reported bombs at separate Jewish sites in Manhattan and Brooklyn this morning caused alarm as antisemitic incidents continue to rise. At one site, Bomb Squad was called and ultimately cleared the scene after the grenade was found to be inert.(Kol Haolam)
Hundreds of thousands of protesters also marched against the Israel-Hamas war in Paris, Brussels, Barcelona, Cape Town, Dublin and more on Saturday, most calling for a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip.
In the US, protesters crowded outside of Biden’s Delaware home on Veteran’s Day, Fox News reported. Chants of “Cease-fire now, cease-fire now!” and holding signs reading: “No more [money] for genocide” and waving Palestinian flags.
Hundreds of Arab anti-Israel protesters traveled to a Jewish neighborhood in Melbourne, Australia to intimidate the local Jews. A shul had to be evacuated after protesters started gathering outside Jews were spat on & physically attacked
Melbourne refused to allow a shul to be built a few years ago cause they were afraid of demonstrators (and Hamas type activities) like this.
ReplyDeleteThey don't have a RLUIPA. And even in US we still have trouble building shuls and mosdot.
& So? Galus isn't supposed to be a free for all
DeleteSo what did REC say about the matzav what's the vort?
ReplyDeleteChashivus Hatorah too much gashmiyus and צעקה to Hashem
DeleteReb E c said there is more torah today than in pre war but today the שתי שולחנות approach is what’s become the norm
ReplyDeleteWishful thinking that the pressure in the US is just pressure from Muslims - it’s like most of the USA and especially the younger generation…. It’s a so bad
ReplyDeleteThat a huge percentage of the democrats are now saying Biden is too old.
I am not 25 years old any more, and I remember newspapers from years ago. University agitators were always a problem for Israel.
DeleteThen, those same people grew up and began living in the real world, and the new generation of pampered lazy university students took over. Nothing new here, and these demonstrations are not a sample of a future America.
Are you a reincarnation of חנניה בן עזור
DeleteThis is the same as 25 years ago??? This is so fictional, on so many levels
Are you a reincarnation of ירמיה הנביא? Because I thought he came back already as the Rebbe of Uhel?

ReplyDeleteDefine. Many are just out of habit. How much can it be worth
Careful already.

Isn't participating in the knesset an issur d'oraysa of "joining with reshaim?"
ReplyDeleteLearn the sources. It has nothing to do with it. See Be'ayos Hazman, Igeres LiYedid, Kerayna De'Igresa and more.
DeleteSitting in the knesset is like sitting on an HOA board together with your secular neighbors. The knesset is a governing body reflecting the realities on the ground.
DeleteBy going to a rally organized by secular organizations, you are legitimizing them to a degree
Going to a one time rally for a specific cause does not indicate support for it's organizers on a general level. Particularly here when the organizers are not even claiming that this is "our" event Formally voting and taking a permanent seat somewhere is partnering with them. If a HOA consists of mafia thugs who took over and rule by force and you join it afterwards for personal benefit then you are a criminal too.
DeleteThis doesn't make sense. A one time rally with a huge gathering with no cross currents is joining with reshaim, but day in day out shmoozing, horse trading, and making deals with reshaim is not?
DeleteShotim who know better than Reb Reuven, the Komemiyus'er Rav, and the Steipler who explained themselves in writing.
DeleteAnd better than the Tchebiner Rav, Reb Aaron Kotler, the Chazon Ish, the Belzer Rav, the Beis Yisroel, and many more, who all strongly supported voting, all the while knowing what the Chavrei Knesset do there.
A bunch of pea-brained morons who think they know better.
Actually, you're making the problem, because all of the rabbanim could have easily encouraged going to the rally as well. No problem.
Delete"who all strongly supported voting"
DeleteThough some emphatically stated it wasn't &it was for the beleaguered community during that era-
your crowd keep trying to imply that it was open ended
The answer to your question can be found in Baayos Hazman from Rav Reuven Grozovsky strongly recomnd reading it youself
DeleteI don't mean to disagree or question Rav Aharon Feldman, so maybe someone can explain to me the quote. I assume he is referring to rabenu yona in sharie tehshuva shaar 3:51. Is that an issur di'oraysa?
ReplyDeleteIf you don't mean ti disagree or question, wouldn't your question best be posed to the talmidei chachomim in your life? Go speak to them, they'll be able to give you the sources.
DeleteUnless this is a trolling attempt...
Rabbeinu Yona is generally talking about deoiraysos
