  2. Despite the ignorance of the Yated (they used to have a good Lakewood reporter) and Lakewood press, Avi will soon find out from his teachers that the biggest deal in NJ right now, the matter that has the governor m ore concerned about a possible future cabinet position than anything else, is Alcantara. Every single power law firm is looking at the case waiting to spring into action base on the Appellate ruling and how this will play out in the Supreme Court. Of course, if there is a settlement that forgives the debt and fixes the formula, then both Lakewood and the governor win. Surprising that it requires a course and political science teacher to let Avi in on what is common knowledge in NJ when the news is coming out of his own backyard. He is now really messed up because he WILL NOT have a seat. ITK

  3. I dont understand how such words were allowed to be said on a Lakewood show? Seems like real kefira to me לית דין ולית דיין חס ושלום

  4. The Lakewood papers magazines and shows are full of Kefira and anti Torah hashkafoss pushed onto the community we must collectively reject these breaches from our midst time to boycott the advertisers that support all this

  5. Lakewood has gone of the deep end. Life was much better in the '50s and '60s when no one was yeshivish and everyone was ehrlich and ovdei Hashem, building Torah in America. Do you think Rav Yaakov and Rav Moshe would go for today's Lakewood? Rav Ruderman? How low we have fallen.

    1. Revisionist history "life was NOT better in the 50s and 60s for yiddishkeit. People forget really fast

    2. in the 50s and 60s no one was yeshivish? the problem in lakewood is that it's too yeshivish? what world do you live in? certainly not earth

    3. Whoa.
      Agree to extent.
      Brisk & Chassidim destroyed that.
Nevertheless a sizable mass of the kids then ended up intermarrying

  6. If you study sociology, you will realize that every culture in the world has its radicals and moderates. Not because every ideology is inherently radical or moderate, but because human nature requires that some people have an inherently radical personality and others an inherently moderate personality. These personalities manifest themselves in whatever ideology these people are part of.
There is nothing wrong with saying that Lakewood has its radicals. Just as Satmar has its radicals (Neturei Karta), Chabad has its radicals (Meshichistin), Muslims have their radicals (Islamists), etc.
"Lakewood" as an ideology has to have its radicals, not because there is something wrong with "Lakewood" as an ideology, but because "Lakewood" has radical people who are part of the ideology, who inherently radicalize everything they touch.
But these radicals shouldn't be given positions of power.

    1. Those in cultural control will forever continually redefine everybody beyond their compliance to keep themselves in control
      THAT'S sociological
Hence every segment that ill serves them becomes deemed radical. That is to marginalize them for simple followers who pervade most every culture

  7. I don’t have the pleasure to know the Rav Hamoiche and definitely you could argue on most of the concept that this Rabbi Friedman exposes and even call him that he is doing a made of achzorus ( surely he is influenced by chasidishe thought and that is a battle of a ongoing war). But on the Chayal being killed in battle being a kodosh although he is oiver kol isurim shevatoire he will have to take it up with Harav Chaim Shmulevits. As he expressed this idea during the six day war and all other ongoing battles ( not to say that there where people that disagreed as Rav Yoshe Ber Yerushalmi) the concept of yesh koine oilomo besho achas is widely brought in Talmud even about a Roman hang man and if it bothers him so much that there is such a concept that it brings him to tears he is in good company as he is surely aware that Rabeinu hakodosh also cried. Just wondering what really is driving the Rav Hamoiche surely he as proof against Rav Chaim Stuchiner as he would have not had attacked this concept with out . He holds himself a machria and ignores ein meshivin es hoari leachar misa or he thinks he is greater then him therefore he doesn’t need even to quote him . Again just wondering but if he is really interested he could contact Rav Chaim’s children great Talmidei chachomim in their own Rigth but maybe he is not interested because he is so perfect that he knows everything
    Just wondering

    1. i don't know who this man is either but i listened to the 4 minute clip and he definitely didn't say the things you are trying to attribute to him.

      Delete
    2. Listen to the recording again, he clearly is referring to a soldier that isn't killed in battle

      Delete
    3. Rav Chaim Shmulevitz was talking about a soldier being killed and thats not Rav Chaim's chiddush as it is mevuar in rishonim. Friedman said even if soldier is not killed. Two very very different things. So the rav hamoche is correct. Please dont blame this on chassidus which you obvisuly know nothing about

      Delete
    4. If only you would listen before you comment. The rav hamoche said specifcally that friedman was talking even if they were not killed. WHO IN JEWISH HISTORY EVER SAID THAT?

      Delete
    5. friedman's viewpoint is definitely based on the rav levi yitzchok/shlomo carlebach every rasha is a tzadik type of chasidus. so there's no reason not to blame this on chasidus.

    1. Why does it bother you so much?

    2. The Stuchiner Rebbe is R. Yudkowsky. Zilber is an offshoot, he is Stuchiner-Toldos Yehudah. Or maybe you can call him Stuchiner-Emunas Yisroel Rebbe, since he is a son-in-law of Emunas Yisroel Rebbe R. Moshe Wolfson.

  10. Surely all the responders to my comment are seasoned warriors that understands what war and battle does to a person. Speak to veterans many are death in life . The tzore of going into battle and the irurei teshuva definitely could be mechaper avoinos and bring you into a different madreige. He surely was insinuating in his machoe even in death. When the Rav Hamoiche makes a Macho he should be clear the onus is on him to be clear . But even if they don’t die the scars are there for life . I wish u all a gut Shabbos and enjoy your warm houses here in chutz laretz which is metame mderabonon vechol hador vechutz laretz … enjoy your yapchik that’s how u call it right? And your kokush and chap erien kshekom vekomisnamnem a bit of your holy book of your “mesoire “ vayoel moishe

  11. To the other commentator the boky in chasidus surely such concepts as this Rabbi Therapist coach etc can’t be found by the izbitzer chabad breslav etc no they weren’t controversial and not alligned with established Jewish theology chassidus was put in cheirem because Gdoilei oilom had nothing better what to do . Yes contemporary “Chasidim” followers of the Rumanian splinter don’t know this philosophies and the ones that know it don’t quote it as it doesn’t align with their agenda . Again just wondering

  13. The Frierdiker Rebbe Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn, the shver, had a very different opinion than the man on the show.

In Hakriah V'Hakdushah of August 1942 and February 1943, he said that the broad spiritual decline of European Jewry was the root cause which brought about the destruction which followed it.

MF is clearly not teaching the chasidus of the frierdiker rebbe. Does he see him as suffering from monsters?

  14. We are waiting for the State's response to our motion in aid of litigants' rights, filed because the commissioner (governor) still has not complied with the order of the court to address the funding formula, a demand of EVERYONE in Lakewood since the 1990s .(Now that we won, all of a sudden other things are more important, AND they can't even give me a BOE, the lowest elected office, that supports us.)

We finally got the Court to order the fix and yet people (the chumps that that the governor ran circles around) are making deals with the governor behind our back when they could have just as easily asked him to settle with us by forgiving the debt and an extra $100 million a year in the adequacy budget and categorical aid. There is no reason why the debt has to continue to be paid (next year payment will be more than state aid) when the district was only encumbered by it due to a faulty formula.

At any rate, it is almost certain that the state won't submit their papers until a minute before shabbos but that does not matter. We'll see where they are going. My guess is it will be more of the same stupidity.

There won't be oral argument so the motion will be decided on the papers.

If the governor was smart, he would end this matter RIGHT now.

Lakewood, know ye, that you won't get any benefit on whatever deal your chumpy-chump-chumps make with Murphy until the school formula is fixed. Yes, you might get a $5 million program where 3/4 goes to public school students, or some other bone thrown at you. Murphy has enough political clout to get that passed in return for the Democrat you just elected. His wife might become a senator and he is headed for a cabinet position, maybe Secretary of Education, and the case will creates a huge problem for him. We are borrowing $100 million a year out of the annual budget. There is no way the state is going to throw another $100 million for kids in nonpublic schools.

On the other hand, once we fix the formula, not only the greatest political/educational problem of the century in NJ will be solved, maybe Lakewood will then have gratitude from the people of NJ who overwhelming support public schools over nonpublic schools.

You have to remember that NJ has the BEST or second best public schools in the nation. Lakewood currently is blamed by the state and others for its failing public schools and if money will be increased for the nonpublic schools before fixing the formula, it will be political suicide for any politician. A L

Occasionally. But many often from all nationalities will volunteer & volunteer, because drab civilian life leaves most so empty internally
    Still better than that

Also explains how come so many would rather join hamas than live empty drab existence in Gaza
This is their most fantastic moment )@#&* in the tunnels
cf.interviews with forme Taliban in present Afghanistan

And how so many will rush to join them again

What is worst comes to worst ?Death
Even that is better than inner emptiness
