- The IDF anounced it recovered the bodies of 2 hostages Eden Zacharia and Ziv Dado, who were taken hostage by Hamas on October 7. During the operation to recover the bodies last week, two soldiers were killed, Gal Meir Eisenkot and Jonathan David Deitch and other soldiers were wounded.
Harvard University announces that President Claudine Gay will keep her job even after reportedly losing more than $1 billion in donations since her disastrous congressional testimony about antisemitism and not condemning pro-Hamas protesters who call for genocide of Jews on her campus.

IDF: Deaths of 20 out of 105 soldiers killed in Gaza were friendly fire, and other accidents. Thirteen soldiers were killed by friendly fire due to mistaken identification in airstrikes, tank shelling, and gunfire. One soldier was killed by gunfire that was unintended to hit them, and another two were killed by accidental misfires.
Two soldiers were killed in incidents involving armored vehicles running over troops. And two soldiers were killed by shrapnel, including from explosives set off by Israeli forces. The IDF has assessed that there are myriad of reasons including the large number of forces operating in Gaza, communication issues between forces, and soldiers being tired and not paying attention to regulations.
- A Norwegian-Flagged Oil/Chemical Tanker, M/V Strinda in the Bab al-Mandab Strait was reportedly Struck earlier tonight by at least 1 Missile which was launched by the Houthi Terrorist Group in Yemen causing a Large Fire onboard the Ship; the USS Mason, a U.S. Navy was nearby and Responded to the Attack. The ship was reportedly supposed to dock at the Ashdod port in Israel.
- Qatar, Israel held secret meetings in Europe to discuss hostage deal - to include children, women, and men, including three senior IDF officers who were captured by Hamas. The Saudi report states that Israel has committed to release around 300 Palestinian prisoners in exchange, in addition to ten veteran prisoners serving long sentences, including Marwan Barghouti, the leader of the Fatah movement. Officials say the chances for the deal are slim.
