- Giyus: Whike Eight yeshiva bochurim were released from IDF Military Prison this morning after serving jail sentences. There's a few more who were arrested yet there's silence from the frum knesset members about the arrests.
- An article by Rich Roberts in this weeks Voice magazine addresses if frum Jews should vote for democrats in New Jersey since they will win anyways
On voting for Cory Booker: "So now I’m being asked if we should support this Senate run because he will likely win in blue New Jersey. The US in 2026 is not Germany in 1933. But there are some too-familiar themes. Supporting Booker will not curry favor with him if the woke wave is against us. It will only show that our values can be compromised.
When Lakewood voted against the vaad
"When Christie ran against Corzine for New Jersey governor, the Lakewood leadership told the community to vote for the Democrat Corzine because he would win and we wanted to curry benefits from him. The Lakewood frum community re-voted and heavily favored Christie for one reason: the sanctity of marriage. That was the first time the yeshivah community didn’t follow the directive of the leadership."
Tuition relief only came from Trump
"More recently, the community leadership instructed us to abandon a Republican who had been loyal and dedicated to our community for many years in favor of a Democrat so that we would “have a seat at the table.” We were told that we would get tuition vouchers. The Democrat won, and the only chance for financial relief for school tuitions came from the Trump Republican party, which passed federal legislation that will help fund tuitions in states in which the governor of that state opts in. At the time that we abandoned a loyal Republican for a Democrat, violating our values, I publicly wrote that the Democrats only care about the support of the teachers’ union, so they will never support school vouchers. It was the Republicans in the House and Senate that passed this law.
- Chewing gum could be banned in the state of New Jersey under a recently proposed law focused on reducing our inadvertent consumption of microplastics. The bill includes a list of daily products that could no longer be sold in the state if it’s passed. Gum was included in the bill after researchers discovered microplastics were released into the human body during the first few minutes of chewing. The Protecting Against Microplastics Act, introduced last month by Democratic Assemblywomen Shama A. Haider and Margi Donlon, proposes labeling products such as chewing gum and tea bags as including “intentionally added microplastics” for two years, before outright banning their sale in the state. Foodware like plastic plates, forks, knives, and containers cleaning products and cosmetics are also included in the bill. NJ.com

Matzav reports: Rav Kagan was among the distinguished talmidim of Rav Aharon Kotler zt”l who carried their rebbi‘s vision of uncompromising Torah learning beyond the established yeshiva centers of the East Coast.
Together with his longtime colleague, Rav Yitzchok Wasserman, he established a makom Torah in Denver in 1967, at a time when the idea of building a major yeshiva so far from New York and Lakewood was an ambitious undertaking. For nearly six decades, Rav Kagan devoted himself to the growth of Yeshiva Toras Chaim and the development of its talmidim. His influence extended far beyond the walls of the yeshiva, helping transform Denver into a recognized Torah community and demonstrating that the ideals of the great yeshivos could take root and flourish even in a city far removed from the traditional centers of American Torah life.
Rav Kagan was a prominent talmid of Rav Aharon Kotler at Beth Medrash Govoha in Lakewood, where he absorbed the derech halimud, hashkafah, and commitment to Torah that would guide his life’s work. During his years in Lakewood, he was involved in giving chaburos, reflecting his stature as a serious ben Torah and his ability to transmit Torah to others.
The founding of Yeshiva Toras Chaim grew out of an initiative by members of Denver’s Jewish community who recognized the need for a yeshiva that would provide young men in the western United States with an authentic Torah
In 1966, a delegation from Denver traveled to Beth Medrash Govoha in Lakewood to seek leadership for the proposed institution. Their efforts ultimately led to the arrival of Rav Yitzchok Wasserman, Rav Chaim Kahan, and Rav Yisroel Meir Kagan, who came with their families to Denver for the opening of the 1967 school year...

Donald J. Trump endorses Netanyahu
To the Great People of Israel:
Bibi Netanyahu has been a Great Warrior Prime Minister, and an even greater Partner for Peace in combatting the Islamic Republic of Iran, with its 51 year old chant, “Death to Israel, Death to America! We will destroy the Little Satan and the Big Satan.” What Country can survive when things such as this are allowed to be said, because eventually, they always end up being true? It would have been only a question of time until Iran would have put that ominous phrase into effect, but they have been systematically destroyed, both Militarily and Financially, and unless they change their ways, rapidly, we will soon finish the job. If Israel has the wrong Leader, which would be anyone other than Bibi, America will have to do this work ourselves, and I am not inclined to do so. Bibi Netanyahu has been Strong, Brave, and Brilliant in the face of tremendous opposition, including that coming from even Israel, itself. Despite all of that, he has endured and, in fact, he has thrived! I have watched Bibi under the most trying of times. Normal men or women in such situations would have wilted under the pressure — But Bibi did not wilt, he actually got stronger, and maintains that same Strength today. This is the kind of Partner that the United States of America is demanding of Israel, a Country for which it has done so much. Please let this Letter serve to represent my Complete and Total Endorsement of Bibi Netanyahu in his upcoming Race for Re-Election as Prime Minister of Israel. BIBI NETANYAHU WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN! Thank you for your attention to this matter.
