Israel at war day 79
- Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have reportedly told the President of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas that he must Resign as President and Dissolve the current Government in order to Appoint a Saudi and UAE-Approved Government, or else they will Halt all further Financial Aid to the Palestinian Territories.
- Netanyahu: we are intensifying the war in the Gaza Strip. We will continue to fight until absolute victory over Hamas. This is the only way to return our hostages, eliminate Hamas and ensure that Gaza will no longer be a threat to Israel. This will take time, but we are united
The war has a price, a very heavy price in the lives of our heroic soldiers, and we will do everything to safeguard the lives of our soldiers. However, there is one thing we will not do: We will not stop until we achieve victory.”
- IDF revealed a large Hamas tunnel network in northern Gaza’s Jabaliya camp, where the bodies of five Israeli hostages were recovered earlier this month. The entire network was around a square kilometer in size. Weapons and infrastructure used to manufacture weapons were also found in the tunnel.
- Another 2 soldiers killed during fighting in Gaza bringing the total of troops lost in the ground offensive to 153 as 15 soldiers were killed over the weekend

Operation Prosperity Guardian in the Red Sea has practically Collapsed as France, Spain, and Italy have all announced their Withdrawal from the U.S. Command Structure for the Operation, with the Three Nations stating they will only conduct further Maritime Operations under the Command of NATO and/or the European Union and not the United States.
-Egypt has placed a new proposal for a truce and release of Israeli hostages in three stages.
The first stage would be a two-week halt in fighting, for the release of 40 hostages — women, minors and elderly men, especially sick ones. In return, Israel would release 120 Palestinian security prisoners of the same categories. During this time, hostilities would stop, Israeli tanks would withdraw, and humanitarian aid would enter Gaza.
The second phase would see an Egypt-sponsored “Palestinian national talk” aimed at ending the division between Palestinian factions — mainly the Palestinian Authority and the Hamas terror group — and leading to the formation of a technocratic government in the West Bank and Gaza that would oversee the reconstruction of Gaza and pave the way for Palestinian parliamentary and presidential elections.
The third stage would include a comprehensive ceasefire, the release of the remaining Israeli hostages, including soldiers, in return for a to-be-determined number of Palestinian security prisoners in Israeli jails affiliated with Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror group — including those arrested after October 7 and some convicted of serious terror offenses. In this phase, Israel would withdraw its forces from cities in the Gaza Strip and would allow displaced Gazans from the enclave’s north to return to their homes.
Israel officials are studying it and not flatly rejected it
.
Great idea! Let's release Hamas terrorists from jail, so we could go through this charade (like Gilad Shalit) in another 5 years. But at least we know we got the hostages out!
ReplyDeleteFor the amount of tunnels they are "discovering" It's clear that Israel has suffered a major intelligence failure. The once almighty Israel was outsmarted by the supposed Arab feeble minded farmers. So Israel bombed some Hamas leaders home today. Why on day 79 and not on day 1? This war has gotten ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteArmchair warriors sitting comfortably here in the USA commenting on fighting a war is lehavdil like Netanyahu trying to give a shiur iyun in the BMG Bais Medrash. We may not like what's happening in E"Y and there were obviously mainly failures of judgement, but we have no business giving our totally clueless opinions on a subject we know nothing about.
DeleteMr. AB,
DeleteYou may see yourself as someone who is going in the derech of Rabbeini ZTVK"L, but you are doing the opposite. Rabbeini ZTVK"L Davened that no Yid should ever be hurt. You seem to be gleeful when Yidden get hurt, so long it fulfills your other goals. Rabbeini ZTVK"L cried for every Yid who got hurt.
Stop for a moment and think about the Yidden's suffering and challenges.
You've made a horrible and false accusation. Nothing what I wrote about says anything near what you describe. I'm not giving Netanyahu advice, just pointing out the facts.
DeleteHis current wife’s father probably would of been able to
ReplyDeleteAs someone who actually lived in Eretz Yisroel for many years, ask any Israeli if they knew that Hamas were building tunnels for years and they’ll all say yes. The problem was that the military was relying on artificial intelligence like surveillance cameras and thought they had it under control. Israelis have been complaining about it for years! Even now Israelis are hearing digging under their homes in a certain Yishuv and are complaining to the army about it but they are not being taken seriously. Every day living in Eretz Yisroel is Mesirus Nefesh and survival of the Holy land is miraculous. Let’s take a moment and appreciate what he had until now and let’s daven to Hashem continue to bestow upon us His kindness and compassion to continue to be able to live safely in Eretz Yisroel until the coming of Moshiach.
