- BDE: Petirah of Rabbi Chaim Herzel Kranz zt”l, zekan harabbanim of Washington, DC, and founding rov of the Silver Spring Jewish Center/Cong. Ahavas Yisrael shul and day school.  The levayah was held at the shul on Arcola Avenue in Silver Spring, MD. The aron was then flown to Eretz Yisroel for a levayah in Yerushalayim, with kevurah on Har Hazeisim. He was a selfless person who gave his life to the klal in all areas of Hachnosas orchim pidyon shvuyim bikur cholim and chesed. He was a talmid of Rav Elya Meir BLoch zatzal of Telz,he was a mechutan with Rav Chaim Greinman of Bnei Brak.

- Tackling high grocery prices in the kosher market a wholesale store called Meitiv has opened in Monroe selling bulk items at cost price the Satmar rebbe Rav Aaron paid a visit to the location on Rt 17M and gave a $8000 check. There are plans to open a similar concept in Williamsburg. 

- New laws going into effect in NJ for 2024

Raising Minimum Wage New Jersey's statewide minimum wage will increase by $1 to $15.13 per hour for most employees on Jan. 1, 2024. New Jersey pharmacists will be allowed to dispense self-administered  contraceptives to patients without requiring a prescription.

- School districts must provide menstrual products free of charge in every public school teaching students in one or more of grades 6 through 12.

 - New Jersey Legislature committee approved a bill to have NJ Family Care accept and reimburse claims for marriage and family therapists, and social workers.

-Latinos now outnumber non-Hispanic whites in the U.S. state of Texas, census data shows.
