- BDE: Petirah of R’ Yechiel Michel  Chill zt”l,  from Monsey who recently moved to Lakewood residing in a country place.He was in his mid-80s. The levaya is today 12:45 pm at the Lakewood Chapel off 7th st there will be another levaya in Monsey at YSV girls 5:45pm with Kevurah  in Eretz Yisroel.

- Last night  The Lakewood Board of Education  presented a plan to the Planning Board to construct new parking spaces near the Middle School on Ridge Avenue. The new parking lot will have two-way access to/from Ridge Avenue. The site plans depict 38 new parking spaces. Per faanews.com 

- NJ state inspectors found inaccuracies at the luggage scales in Newark and Atlantic city Airport. Airlines charge overage fees for overweight luggage based on the scales. Inaccuracies were found in 100 of the 366 scales inspected at EWR; 81 of them significant enough for inspectors to condemn the scales and take them out of service, a failure rate of 22%. Since then, 94 of the scales have been serviced, re-inspected, and are now in compliance. Six scales remain out of service while awaiting repair parts.(faa)

- A 6ABC news helicopter from Philadelphia crashed Tuesday night in a heavily wooded area of Burlington County, killing the pilot and a photographer, authorities said. The crash occurred shortly after 8 p.m. near Quaker Bridge Atsion Road and Mullica River Road, a section of Wharton State Forest in Washington Township.
