The main problem on central is going eastbound NOT westbound! Also how much already will it help to expand the lane for a few feet??
ReplyDeleteThe Lakewood twp are such clowns, they just put in the sidewalks on Central a few years ago and now they're moving them.
ReplyDeleteIts a county road so it was done either by the water company when they replaced piping on central or done a bit later by the county
DeleteIt will go from bad to worse if they make the first block of South Lake from Central 2 way. Are they totally crazy!! What are they thinking!!
ReplyDeleteI am convinced the state/county had no idea it was a one way street - For all you know there was no approval for it to be a one way street! the township just popped in signs or the very least never got approval for the one way street change with the county.
DeleteOnce again they are doing construction without the input of those that know the intersection best. This is ridiculous.
ReplyDeletehttps://fixinglakewood.blogspot.com/2025/03/what-is-happening.html
ReplyDeleteWhat is happening? Anytime I see a push for such crass and classlessness, it makes me think lower and lower of a 'dayan' who used a toen to attend Rav Dovid Feinstein זצ"ל beis din.
DeleteNo one thinks positively of you and your ilk when you behave like a bully.
You don't trust anything coming from obvious baaley machlokes like the one who has that blog.
DeleteIf you read the post it said right turn ONLY it will not make the traffic on Central worse! It will help the merge coming from Hurley. They are also adding a concrete block to Caranetta which will only allowing one car at a time coming out of Caranetta . That will help the traffic as well. Why don't you wait until the whole project is DONE before spewing Stupidity!
ReplyDeleteIf you see the township doing something, you know that it's stupidity and will be detrimental to whatever issue they are getting themselves involved in. Somebody very important to the township leadership thinks that the more traffic we have the greater our township will become. He thinks we're supposed to be excited and grateful for more and more worsening traffic into sections all over town...
DeleteIt's alway been right turn only There Isn't a logical explanation why such a triangle was necessary other than to ease the flow of a 2 lane road.. If the triangle is for cars going east on central making a left onto south lake - that too is an unnecessary improvement, as cars rarely turn left there and you definitely don't need a triangle! Maybe it was just to make the road look symmetrical with Carranetta?? Who knows?
Delete"It's part of a major plan of making the gad station a jug handle"
DeleteDr Dore Gold was shomer Shabbat, born in Connecticut.
ReplyDeleteWhy is it so complicated for the township to widen some streets?
ReplyDeleteFinchley Avenue is an absolute nightmare - it's too narrow with cars parked on both sides, while a mile-long line of vehicles waits to make a death-defying left turn onto Route 9.
The most ridiculous part is that they just redid the sidewalks, and there's PLENTY of room to create separate right and left turning lanes. But instead of doing the sensible thing, I honestly think they made the entrance SMALLER!
Meanwhile, the tiny complex next door on Route 9 (a fraction of Hearthstone's size) smugly sports nice right and left turning lanes.
It's truly baffling what these township officials are actually doing to improve quality of life - besides testing our patience and survival skills on a daily basis.
What's more truly baffling is that you have no idea what you're talking about.
DeleteThe state made Route 9 in many areas narrower too! They are following the original blueprints which apparently had the road smaller! We suffered with all the construction so the state can say they are doing improvements to the 9 but in reality all they did was shrink the 9!!
DeleteI use Finchley also, totally ridiculous 🤢
DeleteNewer complexes were built smarter. Is that your point?
DeleteMaybe one day, when it's all done some streets will also be that way, did you see the final job done?
Mass & Pros had it redone and redone
instead of making a left turning lane, they felt it was smarter to plant a tree, becuase, duhhhh - the township loves trees so much ;)
ReplyDeleteHow many cars are coming from South Lake and making a right back up to Central it makes no sense. they should widen central instead and help ease the daily traffic.
DeleteThis is Chelm
Is it a two way or a one way street?
DeleteWho are the rabbonim traveling for this?
ReplyDeletePerhaps they have some daughters.
DeleteHow will it it be enforced, like hiding shiduchim?
Longer engagements?
Anything not to cut wasted school time of th boys
Just to help ease their negligence
DeleteAfter all these years still no proper statistics regarding disparity between boys and girls available.......Hundreds of boys over age 26 in BMG alone But for some reason no one wants to address that angle........ Funny isn't it, If someone would prove that there is actually a disparity won't it put the People opposed to the idea on the defensive?
ReplyDeleteThere were studies that showed that there is no age gap
DeleteJust call any Lakewood shadchan and ask them if they have more boys or more girls.
Delete2:38 and tell the shadchan to put some younger boys in his database.
DeleteA shadchan could put younger boys in his database only if younger boys are interested in dating. If they aren't interested in dating, how does that help the girls who are interested in dating?
DeleteWhen Roshey Yeshiva stop brainwashing bochurim to marry for BIG MONEY the so called SHIDUCH crises will end
ReplyDeleteLies, lies, lies.
DeleteThese bachurim are waiting for full support and they are 25+ , all they know is they are 'supposed to learn many years. so lets say at least 30 then will wake up to provide for a family of three or four children. Many living in a basement. Wow. Is this what hkbh wants for a family?
DeleteAnon 5:54 You sound like a farbisseneh balehbuss from the 1980's
Deletethat argument has long sailed there are families willing to support and wealthy that have the nisayon of shidduchim
Blaming the RY is a scapegoat
There are multiple paths to שנאת התורה. The idea that bochurim are waiting for money has not been true for many years. Gevirim don't get better sons in law, and the metzuyanim of Yeshivos generally become sons in law of yeshivaleit.
DeleteThey don't?!
DeleteGood morning
How do you know if a politician is lying? His lips are moving.
ReplyDeleteAnd the HS teachers and seminaries brainwashing the girls that only a long term learner is acceptable. The girls work hard but you can't compare it to sitting by a gemara all day. It's not easy. The kids pay for it cuz the parents are tense and rushing all day they don't give the kids the attention they need and deserve. Long term learning is for a select few that should be doing it. Everyone else should go find himself a job.
ReplyDeleteReally!!
DeleteWhat will a job help?
This is what highly qualified jobs make. https://money.usnews.com/careers/best-jobs/rankings/best-paying-jobs
Now what does a guy with no qualifications get?
By the time you get kollel check programs & discounted tuition, you are much better off in Kollel.
As for the basement some basements are way more luxery than the 1950 ranches. & all are better than what people lived in Boro Park 60 years ago,
1. Somehow, the schools are not permitted to teach children their values. Because that would be 'brainwashing'. Of course, this is not true. Our values, for many generations, have been that learning is the most important job a person can have.
Delete2. A working boy has a far easier time in shiduchim than a learning boy. If he is normal etc.. This 'brainwashing' obviously isn't working.
3. Sadly, people have been going to work at a far younger age than previously. There are many 40 year olds in Yeshiva, yet proportionally less 32 year olds.
re:1 most important
DeleteUniversities make precisely the same claim inwardly. So are we any different than they?
We just turned it into a fake soupy religion
They are taking away the turning lanes on the 9 by Central and making a jug handle either by the gas station or jcpl building
ReplyDeleteTuesday morning central ave insane traffic. Where is Ray Coles Menashe Miller or Meir Lichtenstein??? Why is there construction during peak rush hour?? Causing so much lost time at work and school for everyone. Time for change get rid of those that destroy our lives!!!
