- Bloomberg: Putin deliberately set maximalist goals for ending the war in Ukraine, with the explicit knowledge that Zelensky and European countries would not be able to agree to them. There is no indication that Putin is willing to compromise on anything, and he is prepared to continue the war if all his demands are not met, including declaring Ukraine neutral, abandoning the ambition to join NATO, military demobilization, and recognition of all territories occupied by Russia
-Saudi Arabia: US and Ukrainian delegations meet to advance the Russia-Ukraine peace deal.
- Marco Rubio: After a 6 week review we are officially cancelling 83% of the programs at USAID. The 5200 contracts that are now cancelled spent tens of billions of dollars in ways that did not serve, (and in some cases even harmed), the core national interests of the United States. In consultation with Congress, we intend for the remaining 18% of programs we are keeping (approximately 1000) to now be administered more effectively under the State Department. Thank you to DOGE and our hardworking staff who worked very long hours to achieve this overdue and historic reform.
Trump says the United States will increase tariffs on steel and aluminum from Canada to 50%.
Trump: Based on Ontario, Canada, placing a 25% Tariff on "Electricity" coming into the United States, I have instructed my Secretary of Commerce to add an ADDITIONAL 25% Tariff, to 50%, on all STEEL and ALUMINUM COMING INTO THE UNITED STATES FROM CANADA, ONE OF THE HIGHEST TARIFFING NATIONS ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD. This will go into effect TOMORROW MORNING, March 12th. Also, Canada must immediately drop their Anti-American Farmer Tariff of 250% to 390% on various U.S. dairy products, which has long been considered outrageous. I will shortly be declaring a National Emergency on Electricity within the threatened area. This will allow the U.S to quickly do what has to be done to alleviate this abusive threat from Canada. If other egregious, long time Tariffs are not likewise dropped by Canada, I will substantially increase, on April 2nd, the Tariffs on Cars coming into the U.S. which will, essentially, permanently shut down the automobile manufacturing business in Canada. Those cars can easily be made in the USA! Also, Canada pays very little for National Security, relying on the United States for military protection. We are subsidizing Canada to the tune of more than 200 Billion Dollars a year. WHY??? This cannot continue. The only thing that makes sense is for Canada to become our cherished Fifty First State. This would make all Tariffs, and everything else, totally disappear. Canadians taxes will be very substantially reduced, they will be more secure, militarily and otherwise, than ever before, there would no longer be a Northern Border problem, and the greatest and most powerful nation in the World will be bigger, better and stronger than ever — And Canada will be a big part of that. The artificial line of separation drawn many years ago will finally disappear, and we will have the safest and most beautiful Nation anywhere in the World — And your brilliant anthem, "O Canada," will continue to play, but now representing a GREAT and POWERFUL STATE within the greatest Nation that the World has ever seen!
What stupid news
ReplyDeleteWhat a stupid comment
DeleteWhat a justification
DeleteWhat a joke
Calm down with the eggs - they are on the way down - by the time pesach rolls around egg prices will be lower in store than Moadim LSimcha
ReplyDeleteThe egg prices were one big scam - as soon as the justice dept opened an investigation into the egg prices (or maybe the threat of importing eggs from canada)all of the sudden prices dropped - Don't tell me all of the sudden they figured out how to better contain the virus when just a week ago there were predictions of eggs costing 25 percent + more this year.
So if it was all a scam and now they are scared of the justice department shouldn't eggs be back at 2-3 dollar a dozen?
DeleteSlowly
DeleteThey are as predicted 2.99 @ Bingo
DeleteCostco egg prices are up. from $8.39 2 doz to $12.00. Aldi still charging $5.96, Shoprite depends which eggs, but $9.99 or $10.99. Bingo has a sale $4.99 (check your eggs many are broken)
ReplyDeleteI bought jumbo eggs in Gourmet Glatt for $5.99. Extra Large are $6:49.
DeleteI wonder what type of growth hormones they put in jumbo eggs! I would stay away from them.
DeleteToo many growth hormones in the food we eat can cause hormonal cancers such as breast cancer, prostate cancer etc.
Size of the eggs depend on breed and age
DeleteYounger chickens have smaller eggs
Older chickens have larger one.
Anon 8:22 - that is only if you eat the eggs with your left hand. If you eat them with your right hand, the hormones are dissipated and sent back to the dems who lie about laptops.
DeleteAnon 8:22 -- growth hormones will mean taller girls for shiduchim. And taller boys. Might ease (supposed) shidduch crises
DeleteFYI there are many studies that show that eating too much food that has injected growth hormones as in - dairy, eggs, chicken, meat - have a higher risk of certain cancers.
DeleteA simple google search on growth hormones in eggs and cancer returns a relationship between egg consumption and many hormonal cancers (pasted below). And this is despite many studies are not published accurately due to the corruption and influence by the food industries that dont want you to know how unhealthy synthetic growth hormones really are! It's pretty suspicious why all the cancers listed here are hormonal ones:
Google search returns:
"Studies on Egg Consumption and Cancer:
Some studies have linked high egg intake to an increased risk of certain cancers, such as breast, ovarian, and prostate cancer.
However, other studies have not found a significant association between egg consumption and cancer risk.
A meta-analysis of 44 observational studies found a positive dose-response association between egg consumption and the development of GI neoplasms.
Two systematic reviews showed that the risk of ovarian cancer may be elevated among people who consume eggs"
If you would trust Google for health . .
DeleteJumbo eggs are second life layeres
DeleteWhats the deal with central ave? They have cones and stuff up all day every day whether there's construction or not. Sure hope they're removing everything by tomorrow night!! It would be a great chutzpah if they don't. Why can't this town get their act together. Don't tell me it's the state. The town should have open communication with the state and tell them that Taanis Esther and Purim are not days they should be doing construction on Central Ave. If they don't remove the cones I think we should all park our cars on 14th street and Pine street so miller and lichtenstein can get a taste of what we have . Hey on Purim you're supposed to be nice to people you don't necessarily like!!!
ReplyDeleteIs it s crime to just move the cones?
DeletePine street is usually terrible
DeleteTexas reserves the right to divide into five states. It was a free nation that defeated an enemy that trained all the USA and CSA generals. Five states is ten senators. What will Canada get? Two for each province?
ReplyDeleteJust realized that since the court moved us up to April 8 and we withdrew our latest motion, the Court has no record of the fiasco that is happening this year. The state will divert money from private schools and bussing to keep the public schools open if it had to. At least until a court would decide . I included three newspaper article and some data from the district in the motion we withdrew. We need to figure out a way to get it back into the record. What happened this year was the collapse of the Ponzi scheme. And the problem is ongoing. You can't plan or remediate when funding is unpredictable. How can the state say that the advanced state aid, taking from future generations for today, is a thorough and efficient? Finish line in sight. A Lang
ReplyDeleteResponse to the long nasty message about Central Ave. There are two individual construction projects that were taking place. One was the area of Route 9 and Central. And the other is an ongoing 2 year project by the water company changing underground pipes that began on South Lake Drive and they are now on Central. They work mainly overnights but will not be working Thursday and Friday, although the lane shift is in place. In case you haven’t noticed, the Rt 9 job was completed for now after crews worked overtime on Saturday and there has been no construction the past 2 days. So why don’t we call a spade a spade and stop being so negative? Maybe some cones that were left to protect you from some uneven pavement to protect you. Is that what’s making you so uptight?
ReplyDeleteDon't take it personally. Some people just like to complain about everything; the rest of us just ignore them. Thank you for all your hard work on our behalf.
