-The IDF is getting closer to finding Yahya Sinwar, the chief terrorist of Hamas, as the Israeli army seized Hamas' strategic tunnel system in Khan Younis, two Israeli defense officials tell Barak Ravid.

-The IDF says that over the last day, troops killed dozens of terrorists and captured some 80 terror suspects in western Khan Younis, including several who participated in the October 7 massacre.

-Rocket sirens sound in Misgav Am, close to the Lebanon border. There has been sporadic rocket fire throughout the day, with Hezbollah claiming responsibility for an earlier rocket attack in which two soldiers were lightly injured.

Two soldiers are lightly wounded in a rocket attack from Lebanon on an area near the northern community of Margaliot this morning, the IDF says.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich says a recent IDF drill simulating Israeli settlers kidnapping a Palestinian child was “reminiscent of blood libels. “There has never been a case of a settler abducting an Arab child,” Smotrich tells Army Radio.

Hamas says at least 27,585 Palestinians have been killed and 66,978 have been wounded in Israeli strikes on Gaza since October 7.
