To hell with the Brits!!
ReplyDeleteEven those dwelling among us :>
Deletei'm still mad at them for taxing our tea
DeleteThank you for your kind sentiments.
DeleteAs long as they know how to make a cup of tea, the Brits will prefer hell to the USA, where they serve tea cold.

DeleteI'm mad at King George for imprisoning my mother in Caphrisin (Cyprus) on her way out of Europe (Bergen Belsen) to Israel. I know, you weren't taught that in Yeshiva, go back to your Rosh Yeshiva and make him to teach you about it, required general knowledge.
A Labour majority Gov't with senior jewish ministers did that to your mother, actually. A anti monarchist Labour Gov't voted originally in by close to 90% of the Jewish electorate. [drumroll] & campaigned for Labour social zionists like Ben Gurion
DeleteI am 1:38
DeleteI know that.
Same Labour government that instituted guaranteed income and govt health care. Making people wait for care, while it's rationed.
My point was that the Cafrisin era is not taught in Yeshivot.
Let's vote Trump back, and ask him to make E"Y a new state as part of the USA, and Moshiach can soon come
ReplyDeleteIf Moshiach would come in the absence of the existence of the state of Israel and it's existence is what is preventing it (like I've seen claimed in some of the anti-Zionist literature left off in shul) why didn't he come in the 1900 years of golus before that?
DeleteAh thats what they mean by 2 state solution.
DeleteThe idea is that WW2 and the Holocaust were so cataclysmic and had such worldwide effect that was definitely מלחמת גוג ומגוג, and the only reason moshiach didn't come then was due to the State of Israel
DeleteI personally don't subscribe to that theology 100% but that is the understanding for those who do
Although Trump was very pro Israel in his first term, I hardly hear him say anything about Israel this year, even with the horrible situation going on now. I don't think I heard anything from him about the hostages. What's going on? I can't vote for Biden, but I'm not having high hopes for a Trump presidency this time around either.
DeleteThe state of Israel was not established until three years after the holocaust and WWII. Why didn’t he come in the interim period? And if WWII was milchomes gog umogag then why in fact wasn’t it followed by Mosiach? As an aside there were plenty of other Rashyim in the world at the time. EG The conservative movement was rapidly taking over shul after shul in the US and seemed to be the future of American Jewry. Why didn’t the sitra achra get any strength from them and limit himself to Zionists?
DeleteBecause on the international front the Zionist campaign started during the Holocaust & was ongoing till the buttressed their position with the ultimate move-having a state
DeleteAnonymousFebruary 22, 2024 at 2:31 PM So what? Explain in simple terms that even the feeble minded like me can understand why specifically the Zionist movement has so much power in Shamayim that they can prevent the coming of Moshiach. And why don’t they share such power with other large scale movements that were far more exclusively devoted to cause of shmad than they were that were also very active during the time?
DeleteFair questions.
DeleteArguably the answer would be,
a.They are all culpable, even those who are orthodox
b.They however plausibly took over the reins of our nation in a way more than any other aberrant movement on the international stage (this was publicly stated in a drasha in YTV already back in '48 )& what happens on a national/international level matters much more for our destiny than regional/communal movements
Reb Shlomo Lorincz wrote in Bemichotzson that the Brisker Rav told him that the anti-Zionist haskafa of attributing Israel's unlikely successes to the sitra achra borders on kefira becuase it almost make the sitra achra inro an independent reshus. (As in believing that Hashem wanted to send Mosiach, the sitra achra outmaneuvered him by creating the state of Israel against all odds R'L)
DeleteTrump is maybe upset at all the Jewish turncoats who now talk about him ungratefully even though he WAS so pro EY , moved the embassy, let raboshkin out of jail etc etc. Taka shame on alk the frum magaxines & papers like the Yeted ( trash) that wrote against him!!
