Israel at war day 132
- After a conversation with US President Biden, Israeli PM Netanyahu says he refuses to accept plans for creating a Palestinian state after the war with Hamas and his opposition to any one-sided recognition of a Palestinian state.
“Such recognition in the wake of the October 7 massacre would give a huge reward to unprecedented terrorism and prevent any future peace settlement”, Netanyahu said.
-Netanyahu and Biden talk the phone call lasted 40 minutes. They discussed a hoatgage deal the operation in Rafiach and humanitarian aid.
- Israeli spokesman on reported US peace plan: ‘Not the time for gifts’ to Palestinians. Other cabinet Ministers fume at reports of new US 2-states bid. Mk's say it will destabilize the region and bring bloodshed

- A barrage of about 20 rockets was fired from Lebanon at the northern city of Kiryat Shmona a short time ago, Ynet reports. There are no immediate reports of injuries
- US, snd Arab allies reportedly set to propose Palestinian statehood plan within weeks, an announcement on the blueprint could come in the next few weeks, though the timing is largely dependent on Israel and Hamas being able to reach a deal pausing the fighting in Gaza.
The proposed plan includes steps that Israel has previously refused, including the evacuation of many West Bank settlements, a Palestinian capital in East Jerusalem and a combined security apparatus and government for the West Bank and Gaza.
- Minister Smotrich: "We will in no way agree to this plan, which actually says that the Palestinians deserve a reward for the terrible massacre they did to us, a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital,”.“The message is that it pays very well to massacre Israeli citizens. A Palestinian state is an existential threat to the State of Israel as was proven on October 7, Kfar Saba will not be Kfar Gaza!"

- UN Relief Chief Martin Griffiths told Sky News that he did not consider Hamas to be a terrorist group. “Hamas is not a terrorist group for us, as you know, it is a political movement. But, I think it is very very difficult to dislodge these groups without a negotiated solution; which includes their aspirations".
There are two causes to this decision of the US to create a Palestinian state. One is blowback from the massacre in Gaza (whether you're for it or against it it is a massacre of civilians). Secondly the mentality of "Schnor" where Israel's policies and national aspirations are based on the generous handouts of money and diplomatic cover from the United States. They could not even attack in Gaza without the US providing most of the materiel from shells to rockets to bombs spare parts etc In the long run they are not a sovereign nation in the true sense of the word where they can make their own decisions and plan their own future they need the US to approve and the US has their own priorities......
ReplyDeleteThey got rid of the Mandate for that?!
