    3. Actually, on sale 8.99 in ShopRite this week - and if there’s none left you can go to the counter and get a side straight from the box

  2. the ruby shoes were $25. why the sudden increase? If they make the same mistake of other stores that started off cheap and then went more expensive, they lose their clientele.

  3. How about this.
Let’s focus on the Taruvos at our local Kiddushim. Focus on The “innocent” Mingling of Couples after Shul when wives pick up their husbands.
How about focusing on the Mixed meals going on in your local neighborhoods.
How about focusing on the conversations that take place the work place of spouses talking about each other causing envy or jealousy.
How about focusing on the Mingling by our Simchas, the blatant disregard for seating good example to our children.

No, we will focus on a Convention in Florida where men and women (gasp) were singing shuckling back and forth to R’ Lau (and Eli levin) singing with a recent Bal Tshuva of the Oct 7th tragedy.
Call it a Chol Hamoed Sukkos concert it won’t be a problem. Call it Orlando chol hamoed it wont be a problem.
But no, it’s by a convention so now it’s suddenly Taruvos to the next level.

    1. I have no clue what video or comments you are talking about. What I do know is anyone who complains [rightfully so] about "where men and women (gasp) were singing shuckling back and forth" also complains about mixed concerts where the same thing happens. What does have a convention have to do with anything??
As for everything else while on occasion couples mingling outside shul etc does need a tikun, any bar daas should be able to understand the difference between "where men and women (!!!!) were singing shuckling back and forth" and the other scenarios.

    2. The worst of the worst is when you invite outside people for a meal ( outside meaning non immediate family members limited to brothers and sisters [which that also needs a tikun godol] and they sit mixed.
The wife sits at the table with strange people ( as cousin or nephews and nieces) and she does not move to the kitchen. Also how can a woman serve these strange people ??? It ABC in Halacha.
Plus much more to be listed in the future.

    3. Listen, it's gonna be alright. Just ask your doc to up your dosage and you'll be fine.

    4. The difference is that the Chol Hamoed concert never claimed to be upholding halacha and that's why many won't go nor send their kids. This convention is called out by many Rabbanim, yet those that continue to go make up excuses why it's ok. This year we see the taruvos in broad daylight, and not so subtle like in previous years. And these same Rabbanim are "focused" on the mixed meals and kiddush mingling.

    5. Naturally.Where it's uncontroversial-therefore unnecessary- that is where they rather buttress their credentials.Like classic MO rabbis that they mimic

    1. How dare you ask kashes on Tzadikim?

It must be you mingled some time when you shouldn't have, and that is why you ask such kashes.

    2. There were many rebbe's talleisim over the years. If you wanted the Rebbes tallis, you bought him a new one. There are many people that have one. Someone decided to sell his.

    3. You should never know of having to sell off valuable family heirlooms in order to pay tuition and groceries

  5. If he was given one of the Reba's old talleson he must have been someone special, on the other hand we see that he's a lowlife that he goes and cashes out on it

    1. Or he is desperate for money and has no other choice. Doesn't make him a low-life.

    2. Or the children are fighting who gets it
Or the children went to BMG, don't relate to chassidim wanting a Rebbe's talit.

  6. " In other words, we lack cohesion. Or perhaps a better way to describe it is that many of us feel alienated and disenfranchised from our communities’...estimate that the five largest frum periodicals between them have less than 300 employees - and only a few of those have a real voice in setting policy.

Similarly, the most popular English-language frum news websites might attract a total of 25 million page views each month, but only a handful of people get to decide what’s displayed on those pages..given the facts on the ground, there may be no better model. But the system breeds alienation."

  7. Boruch Hashem, it seems that out resident Trump-hater here on Hefkervelt isn't having much of an impact on the frum velt. Boruch Hashem.
