- Andy Kim, a Democrat running for Senate in New Jersey against the state’s first lady, filed a federal lawsuit on Monday that seeks to redesign the ballot before June’s contentious primary election, arguing the current layout unfairly benefits candidates supported by party leaders. The complaint aims to topple New Jersey’s longstanding ballot-design process, which is unique to the state, by asserting it violates the constitution and permits voters to be “cynically manipulated.” The legal maneuver is a direct attack on the governor’s wife, Tammy Murphy, who is Mr. Kim’s chief opponent in the Democratic primary and is likely to benefit most from the way ballots have traditionally been designed in 19 of the state’s 21 counties. 1. So blow the whistle and we will race to the bottom.... If there would be no rule whatsoever people won't be able to manipulate and And Demand answers and give earlier testing. It would be every school on their own and the schools would be on the Losing end.

  2. There's still an embarrassing large number of bochurim not accepted to mesivta yet. This new system hurts the weakest most. Shanda.

    1. That is to begin with it's purpose

    2. Does anyone have a solution, because we all know the complaints, I have just not heard of a solution.

    3. That is not true. Almost every boy has a place. In addition there are plenty that have open seeds and with gladly accept the rest of the boys. There is no shortage of seats there is just a shortage of seats in the Yeshiva that your kid wants to be in

    4. How about go send your kids or nephews to a mediocre place instead
After all the place is supposedly less important than the boy

    5. It's not a question of a better system. This system was not designed to work. For you that is. It was put in place by mesivta owners trying to control your options. It's not meant to be efficient fairr or useful for anybody but those who want it for their own purposes. If there are enough seats like everybody claims so a free and open marketplace would be the best system all around for everybody.similar to a chavrusa tumel, just imagine a chavrusa tumel gamed this way what an uproar it would cause.....

    6. its only embarrassing because you preach that its embarrassing similar to the shidduch crisis - everyone needs to chill out people need to be accepting that not everything in life is instantaneous and what is wrong with a kid knowing the good kids got in right away - it makes sense when I was a kid that is how it was and I knew I wasnt the best kid out there so I got in to a mesivta a week before - I did not think it was a big deal - Its a big deal when its made into a big deal.

  3. Doesn't TAG realize that the average Lakewood family wouldn't bite? Who are they preaching to? I personally am offended.

    2. Where do you live!? Do you think TAG wouldn’t know the metziyus on the ground? I spoke to a guy that works there. Hundreds upon hundreds of these devices were given out in Lakewood.

    3. Hmmmm. Devices are given out, and have been given out for close to 10 years. I went to SafeCell on top of chemed and bought a kosher flip phone there instead. No chidushim.

    4. The phone from Safecell was instead of the smartphone I got. No self-respecting ben torah keeps those.

  4. Bruss yeshiva always gives farhers a week in advance. Witty yeshiva started early for some as well

  5. No no! It’s a great system! Many here have said so, so it must be true. Put the weaker boys all together. It’s better for them! They’ll feel great!!

  6. Shevache yeshives are not necessarily better for these boys, the rabbeim are just there to give a Shiur not to work with them, as the yeshiva was happened as a regular one, it just didn't work out

    1. Maybe that is because the shvache yeshiva isnt officially shvach it is that way by default. Time to make official shvache yeshivas Rabbeim that work with the boys but also have multiple outlets for the boys not just a gym - not every kid is interested or good at sports.

    2. Please stop calling them “schvache Mesivtos”. Why do you need to put such a derogatory label on a mesivta that focuses on helping boys who need a bit more one on one? As the parent of such a boy (who is a wonderful, adorable and great kid) I find this label incredibly hurtful.

    3. I agree you shouldnt call a shvache boy shvache to his face but a boy who needs help, is a shvache boy - a person who does bad things is a bad person - I realize labels have been discontinued but it is a lot easier when having a discussion using a label instead of a paragraph that says the same thing!

      Delete
    4. Aha! So to save YOUR time you’ll throw a derogatory label on MY child. Nice!

      Delete
    5. a Paragragh explaining that your child needs help etc. is just a long sugar coated shvache label.

    2. Several towns are.& they're without endless self promotion this town thrives on.
Problem with those other places are you have to have some sort connection to those places from before to usually fit in.
