  2. The masivtas r desperate to get boys. Everyone should IGNORE all their dumb rules and get back to them when they are damn ready to let them know! Also parents who can't afford tuition should negotiate for zero or sharply reduced tuition!

    3. We are better than that, we can do better, we can expect better. There is no reason to create a artificial demand and pressure. No need to make testing all on one day or for that matter in the middle of the winter. This is an embarrassment for our community. There's enough nice places for everybody. (So says a Dad who is receiving calls from mesivtas that I please consider them..)

    4. Is it true that mesivtas are really chasing after specific boys? Why did I not receive any calls for my son?

    5. What kind of Chinuch are these Mesivtas providing?? If this is how they arrange their farhers and acceptance, it looks like TERRIBLE Chinuch.... Would you send your son to a "top" Mesivta where the Rosh Mesivta doesn't eat Cholov Yisroel or wears a BLUE shirt ?? This method of farhers etc. SHAMES and EMBARASSES many many good innocent boys (AS WELL AS their families)!!! What "AVEIRAH" did these boys do to deserve this abuse ?? The excuse that "we have no other way to do it..." is NOT A GOOD ENOUGH reason !!!

  3. I know some 8th grade boys who are heartbroken as they feel rejected while the shpitz freinds already got accepted
This new system is continuing the same yearly humiliation of the boys and their parents nothing has changed.
The only option is to do like the girls and send out all acceptance letters at once.

  5. I don't like the Mesivta system at all, but I have yet to hear of an alternative method.

Right now, everyone has a Mesivta, and most people belong in the Mesivtos they end up in. Unless they were pushed above their level, and by Chanuka are looking for a new place.

The girls have it much worse. (I have no experience except with boys, but so I hear)
If we are repairing anything, we need to repair the girls' system. New schools, stop the elitism and segregation based on nonsense. Schools need more staff, more mechanchos dedicated to the girls, and more achrayus for the outcome.

Mesivtos' acceptance system is uncomfortable, but it works.

    2. It might work, And there might even be a worse way but that doesn't justify The need for it to be the way it is.......farhers Can be in June which lets the child grow And get tested To what he will actually be when he enters ninth grade. And of course there is no need to make all the tests on 1 day so that way you have to make a decision right away. It only serves the nervous mesivta owners.... Sadly it's a business.... And they drum up demand. Frankly if there is no demand for your school find yourself something else to do.

  6. Why does Lakewood hve the highest tax % increase from all neighboring towns? Is it because all the the ratables are not paying the fair share? Is it because just continuing building residential houses causes taax to increase?? Is it because we have nobody held accountable in government ? is it A,B,C or D - All of the above?

    1. All of the above
Too many ppl sitting with their hands in the cookie jar taking as they wish raising their salaries and if theres a surplus they take even more instead of giving back. But looks like there's no surpluses so they just keep on raising taxes knowing that the Vaad will keep them in power with fooling the sheep luring them to the polls with scare tactics using daas torah and guilt.

    2. The main reason is the School budget. The more people that move into town, the lower the State portion of the school budget goes. Because the percentage of public school children goes lower and lower.

That's why the single thing you could have done on election day to improve your taxes is vote for Lang's candidates. But you didn't, because the powers in charge didn't support him, and you trusted them, foolishly.
