Missionaries were on Clifton avenue today targeting local residents

- Agudah to host daf Yomi Siyum on seder Nashim marking the half-way point of the 14th cycle of Daf and this historic milestone, marking a century of Daf Yomi learning, Sunday, October 29th, 2023 at Bell Works. The Siyum is sure to be an uplifting display of Kovod Shamayim that will inspire continued growth. This event will be graced by leading Roshei Yehiva and Rabbanim. In light of the matzav nora currently facing Klal Yisroel, and in accordance with guidance from our Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah, we will also feature special tefilos on behalf of Acheinu Kol Bais Yisroel, and divrei chizuk v’hisorirus from Gedolei Yisroel.

- Chanukas Habayis and Hachnosas sefer Torah for the new Satmar B"M  608 E Kennedy Blvd Lakewood with the attendance of the Satmar Rebbe Rav Aaron Teitelbaum shlita 3pm expect traffic in the area

- Levaya of Rav Shimon Alster zatzal at Bais Yitzchok 7th and private way 2:00 pm call in conference number 857-347-0100  pin 125005

-  Assemblyman Ned Thomson is calling on his Democratic colleagues to join him in sponsoring bill A613,  for tuition relief “The Opportunity Scholarship Act," to provide much-needed tuition relief to parents of private school children through tax credits. More

- R' Aaron Lang: Shocked at local journalism. Questions asked, answers unchallenged; undue focus on party "shita," meaningless in our 2-party system; miss the "why?" Murphy outsmarts Vaad, it distances itself from me, elects Democrat from Ocean Co, he gets elected to US Senate before losing case.

-The path for Lakewood to flip the LD30 Asswmbly seat to the democrats:
While Monmouth should be (key word: “should”) sufficient to cancel out a potential Democrat surge in Lakewood, that’s far from a foregone conclusion. Here are some numbers to consider:
-Let’s start with the more predictable side of this equation. The Monmouth portion of LD30 has 72,500 voters. Lakewood has 60,000.
-Assume (Thompson) gets 30% turnout in Monmouth, and a 2-1 split in favor of the GOP. That means the Assembly GOP walks away with 14,500 votes and the Dems. walk away with 7,250 votes
-What would it take to overcome this deficit in Lakewood? Start with higher turnout (not unthinkable when the community is engaged). Let’s say 50%, for argument’s sake. That’s a 30,000 voter turnout. Schnall would then need to win just over 62% of the vote to win an Assembly seat. An unthinkable scenario? Certainly not....It would also be deeply ironic if Republicans score upset wins in places like LD16 and LD38 this year only to be denied a majority or tie in the Assembly by dropping a deep red district seat. 1. What is this word salad you posted in the name of Aaron Lang?

In general, Murphy is a wily politician, and will outsmart the Va'ad every time. They allow themselves to be bought for pennies on the dollar, and then crow about their great 'successes'.

    2. I was supposed to meet with the Vaad to convince them to help me in the matter since the Senate leadership is saying they are prepared to increase state aid. as a result of the court decision. Murphy is pulling the strings of the commissioner and together with the AG, is trying to delay the matter from reaching the NJ Supreme Court until the governor's term ends, which is a few months after Menedez will lose his seat if he does not resign.

A conscientious Vaad member got the message to me that the Governor expressed to them his opposition to my lawsuit. The problem is that Murphy has more to gain than Lakewood by a settlement. Murphy is likely to get a US Senate seat, he will leave the potential collapse of the SFRA to his successor, and he will get a Democrat from Ocean County. What does Lakewood get, more loans? A few million thrown at us to make us happy? We are talking $50 to $100 million a year if the formula is fixed, and $200 million in a single shot if the loans are waived because the State funding of Lakewood violates the NJ Constitution.

As for the America party system, since we have geographic district representation, there is only one winning and one loser, hence the two party system. This kind of system is election oriented. The members of the 100 parties (each state has two independent parties) stick together to get elected but each candidate might have a different view on the issues. Each party tries to win the most voters, and historically stays close to the center while the candidates themselves have their own views on the issues. Many, many times has each party switched their stances, and even part of their base. I think big business is now more Democrat. Working class more Republican. At any rate, in a country with a multi-party system, the parties are issue oriented. In other words, the party has an ideology or represents just some interests, not all. In America, big business pays up for both parties, lobbies both parties, so does labor, so does almost every other interest.

    3. Big Klepto-cronies would be better way of putting it that control the bulk of both parties in general (they lean now to Democrat)

  3. Look at the numbers
Such hisgarus and sinas Yisrael we are causing against friendly Republicans by potentially being the deciding district to tilt NJ for the radical left democrats
    Who is taking this achrayus?
Rabbi Miller would never allow this
Nor would Rav Shneur who always said to vote for the incumbent because of Hakoras hatov

    1. Is there an actual letter from the Moetzes, or "trustworthy" word of mouth?

How many times in history has the Moetzes written a letter to support a political candidate?

    2. The moetzes letter is not an endorsement or telling everyone who to vote for it is simple a michtav bracha a letter saying that he's a great guy
Same is with the video of Rav Simcha Bunim Cohen who always says to vote republican according to Rabbi Miller
do you think he suddenly would go against his grandfather that he talks about every minute of the day?
He signed a michtav bracha not an endorsement and not telling anyone who to vote for.

    3. Plausible convenient deniability

As they will end up proven to be after election an empty paper tiger, weakened for other issues, they'll obviously stay away from offering these endorsements
      (501c is irrelevant)

    4. I personally asked R' Cohen why R' Avigdor Miller's grandson was endorsing Avi Schnall who said R' Avigdor Miller is a Daas Yochid. His response was that he never endorsed him and he was unaware Schnall had said that. Don't take my word for it, ask him yourself.

  6. The BOE can get the mosdos free publicly paid teachers from the district, mostly yeshiva administrative code, but now it's easy because the governor got the legislature to allocate several million dollars to get teachers into the mosdos for free, the OU championed it, but I heard the mosods rejected the free teachers. People in North Jersey that took advantage but said it is only a small help. If Lakewood wanted it, it can probably get tons of money with Murphy's help, and I'm sure that more men and women residents will become public teachers and teach in yeshivos at public expense after school. Alas, the oilam did not want the program.

    1. I would assume that if such a program were to exist it would also require non-discriminatory hiring practices. That in turn would require mosdos to hire people who don't share their haskafa. To put in mildly and nicely.

    2. The legislation Legislation signed in 2019 (P.L.2019, c.256) does not mention anything about discrimination.

Under federal law, religious schools can fire teachers who violate religious moral values. Religious schools can hire men teachers for boys and women teachers for girls to maintain religious moral values. Boyd v. Harding Academy of Memphis, 88 F.3d 410, 6th Cir. (1996) (school fired female teacher for premarital relations). You can have separate classes as long as “students of the excluded sex a substantially equal single-sex school or coeducational school.” C.F.R. §106.34(b).
