- FAAnews  Report: Number of Tax  Exempt parcels in Lakewood, NJ has increased  by 37 from last year. There are a total of 2,302 parcels of land in Lakewood Township that are currently exempt from paying property taxes. This comprises 23.12% of all 26,799 parcels of land in the township. Faa reports "All of these parcels of land together would be assessed at $2,515,913,800. At the current tax rates, these properties would pay $59,347,890.63 in total annual property taxes, of which $18,139,738.50 would go to Lakewood Township's municipal budget". see full breakdown of theses parcels at faanews  

-Some  Degel hatorah officials have said that Rav Dov Landau shlita is the manhig Ruchni to replace Rav Gershon Edelstein zatzal. Reb Dov is still scheduled to attend the Adirei hatorah event this Sunday in Philadelphia. The secular media in Israel is reporting how the inheritance wars have begun following the petirah of Rav Gershon claiming the leadership for the litvishe community will be co hosted by a few including  Rav Moshe Hillel Hirsh shlita.

    272 are non-public schools and those would be assessed $1,065,103,800;
    901 are public property (such as public parks and government buildings) and those would be assessed $562,437,500;
    326 are churches and charities and those would be assessed $442,119,700;
    8 are cemeteries and graveyards and those would be assessed $12,004,800;
    784 properties are not categorized and those would be assessed $332,455,400.

  3. The Chilonim and the Eitzniks measure everybody by their own yardstick.
    Ehrliche Yidden generally do not seek the limelight or the power of being Gadol Hador. Only Chilonim and Eitzniks do that.

    A fight between Reb Dov and Reb Moshe Hillel is impossible. Ask anyone who knows them. Neither wants the job, and neither will be the ones to push themselves forward.
