- BDE: Petirah of Mrs. Leah Reiss A"H wife of R' Nosson shlita who passed away today from a aneurysm at the age of 69. Originally from Los Angeles and than Lakewood (Enclaves). Levaya tonight 10:30pm at the Lakewood chapel on 7th street with no hespedim followed by Kevurah at the Lakewood Bais Olam. Survived by her sons R' Motty R' Dovy.

- Nichum Aveilim: Mishpachas Schorr at 39 Lapsely Ln Lakewood sitting Shiva for the Mother Sara Sara Fraidy Schorr a"h Shachris 8, Mincha 1:45 & 7:30 Maariv 9:15.

- BDE: Petirah of Reb Velvel Finkelstein Z"L Nasie of yeshiva of Bayonne after a lengthy illness the levaya is at the yeshiva 735 Avenue C, Bayonne, NJ at 11:30 am. Kevurah  in Eretz Yisrael  Beit Shemesh. Reb Velvel was a son of Rabbi Yaakov and Shaindy Finkelstein zt”l. Reb Velvel was the nosi of Yeshiva Gedolah of Bayonne, an outstanding baal chesed who assisted yechidim and the klal continuously. He was a longtime resident of the Kensington neighborhood in Brooklyn. Matzav 

- Bde: Petirah of  R’ Eliezer Berkowitz, ztl Brooklyn/ Lakewood. The levaya at 11 AM at the Seventh Street Chapel, in Lakewood 

- Adirei Hatorah ;Lakewood roshei yeshiva in last few days have reached out to other communities outside lakewood such as five towns Passaic Baltimore to invite the rabbonim and communities to participate in the event

  1. The Sunset Sephardic Congregation application really raises eyebrows.
    There are almost 400 seats in the place and all they're providing is 5 regular (and 1 handicapped) parking spaces?!? Are they crazy?? Are they planning on parking on the neighbor's lawns and blocking their driveways? Sunset road is already crazy as it is. How does this make any sense?

  2. Westgate is the only place that hasn’t been allowed to build Shuls and to make sure a shul doesn’t chalila get approved a lawyer is hired. Anywhere else rules can be bent no problem.

  14. It’s not good not to forgive and forget. It’s a mitzvah to forgive and forget. Although I personally wish your shul could be built if I lived there I think I would move on and forgive anyone involved and try to be Dan lkaf zechus.

    1. Wow! What a tzaddik! My friend, it’s easy to be a tzaddik Oif yennem’s cheshbon. Your not the one squished like a sardine. Your not the one whose kid doesn’t have a seat I shul. Your not the one whose in a basement with dangerous lack of space etc etc.
