    1. 1. Learn the Sugya. Not every law is דינא דמלכותתא!
      2. Stores don't put up prices as prices keep on going up everyday. It's much worse if they charge more than the shelf price than if there is no price. Look at your receipt or at the register while they ring you up & don't take what you feel is too overpriced.
      3. Food will be priced even higher if stores have to hire an additional clerk to put up prices on shelves and keep them updated.
      4. it's a free world. Shop only in stores that have posted prices. No one is stopping you.

    3. To Anonymous 5:51. Whether it's Dina Dmalchusa or halacha or not, ITS THE RIGHT WAY TO DO IT. How about V'asisa hayashar v'hatov?

    4. It's against Halacha to charge more than the price advertised, והוא דבר פשוט עד למאד

    5. The last people I saw who actually looked over their receipts were my mother and my mother in law A"H, both survivors of the European Churban. This generation doesn't care much about these relatively small expenses, or simply don't have the time

  2. It started with the lakewood realtors that told the sellers don't ask for a price, just wait for the highest offer

  4. Don't even need shelf labels.
If the prices change every day, just out up a few scanners.
The stores took down the scanners.
If prices change every day, the scanners have updated prices. (Of course, they'll put the scanners on a different system than the registers, playing games.

If people leave products near the scanners, that means people are dissatisfied with the prices. A message to store owners.

    1. PRICES GOING UP HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH STORE OWNERS! A storeowner told me that he has not seen even one invoice this year that didn't have at least 5 price changes on it!

    2. So that's why they don't publish the prices of the products. Because of your capital letters.
      Nice

Also, diapers and wipes. There are also many kosher dairy (Chalav Stam) products.
The items and hashgachos change frequently, so each item must be checked.

    1. Fyi Walmart has better quality products and in the same price range. Aldis is not so reasonable anymore.

  7. Btw, this billboard is in yiddish, and yes there is a big portion of klal yisroel mainly chasidishe oilam but also plenty of yeshivaleit who do not bring into their house national brands under the commercial hashgochas.
They want hashgocho from rabonim of their own circles and davka heimishe brands.
They will also not eat cholov akum or stam or pas paltur etc...
