A rare video of Maran Hagaon Horav Eidelstein zt"l endorsing a community peace agreement created by Horav Michoel Sorotzkin shlit"a which canceled the local municipal Mayoral elections in Kiryat Yearim Telz Stone in Eretz Yisroel.
ReplyDeleteIt was 4 years ago when the community was bitterly split over the Mayoral candidate in the Toirahdi'k Judaian Hills town at the outskirts of Yerushalayim.
Horav Sorotzkin negotiated a compounded peace agreement which resulted a cancelation of the elections.
Maran Horav Eidelstein zt'l was in the picture and all parties came to his residence to accept his Brocho for the successful results.
He gave them his warm words of chizuk and said he wished such an agreement will be made in many more Chareidy communities world wide. אהבה ואחוה ושלום ורעות
At the beginning of the meeting, Rav Sorotzkin asked the Rosh Yeshiva about the accuracy of the story about him and his brother Rav Yaakov zt"l coming at 1942 to learn in Lomz'a Yeshiva in Petach Tikva and were not accepted by Rav Sorotzkin's grandfather , Hagaon Horav Reuven Katz zt"l, the Degel- Reuven , who was the Rosh Yeshiva at the time and the Mashgiach Hatzadik Reb Abba Grossbard zt"l because they came one day late to Elul zman.... He confirmed the story with his eidel'e smile....
