  1. In this weeks parasha it is said
Was the mekalel jewish? Were the Jews Jewish before matan torah? Turns out it's a disagreement between Chizkuni and Ramban, which affects pshat in many pesukim, see here for more

  4. Exxon at Kennedy and route 9 is approx 70 cents a gallon more than the mobil on route 9 and 1st street. If you fill up 10 gallons, thats throwing 7 dollars to the garbage, on top of the high prices to begin with. please be mefarsem. Thank you RYoelbFelsen for bringing awareness in the same area as well. HaTorah Chasa Al Memonam Shel Yisroel

    1. There's a wonderful app called GasBuddy that compares the prices for all gas stations in any given area. I wish the tzibbur can also have something similar for kosher food prices. That would be a real תועלת הרבים.

    2. Lakewood has in general the most expensive in the state because everyone uses the bitachon card and they fill up at the most convenient station - if people would make an effort to go to the cheaper station prices would come down. Do it for others..

    3. Why aren’t kosher chicken prices coming down like they were 2 years ago? Somehow shoprite has the .99 a lb chicken on sale.

  5. If egg prices were used as the excuse to raise the food prices, now that it has come down how do the companies justify the hikes on items

    1. They'll say that when egg prices started to increase they held off raising their prices for a while, so now they need to recoup their costs.

  10. to the best of my knowledge [and i must humbly point out that's saying a lot] there is absolutely no real Source not to saying tachnun on paysach shaynee. In other words it's meforish that we do say. (have a look in sday chemed)

proof of the matter is those who follow true minhug ashkenaz say tachnun

  12. @ab Your comment is about not saying Tachanun on Pesach Sheini itself. That is a well established minhag (though some do say). However concerning EREV Pesach Sheini it's pretty clear that you definitely DO SAY Tachanun by Mincha.

  13. The Agudah is silent as the attacks on the yeshivos continue daily with this nasty campaign yet they show roughness with Yaffed and NYS when it comes to money but this shidduch crisis attack goes unanswered shame on them and shame on us for standing idly by

  14. Not sure why to mention Cigar Bar. I am an ex smoker but always found the drag to cigars to be based on the farshtunkene mida of gaava only with no physical pleasure.
