Advocates Address Proposed Changes at the NJ DOE

The NJ Department of Education are making changes on Holocaust education to push their toeva agenda.  See video below at public hearing

Dear NJ DOE,

Your proposed changes to the: Proposal for N.J.A.C. 6A:7, Managing for Equality and Equity in Education say:

The Department proposes the term “Commission on Holocaust Education curriculum” to mean….that materials and curricula are designed to enable students to understand that: genocide is a consequence of prejudice, bias, intolerance, and discrimination; issues of moral dilemma and conscience have a profound effect upon a society; and all citizens share a responsibility to oppose prejudice and discrimination in all facets of their lives.

The proposed definition will replace the term “Holocaust and genocide curriculum,” which is proposed for deletion. The proposed amendments will more closely align the chapter with the statutory requirements related to Holocaust/genocide education.

In a nutshell: students are to be educated to oppose “issues of moral dilemma and conscience” namely LGBT ;if not, they are holocausts enablers as “ genocide is a consequence of prejudice”. Ironically, those killed in the holocaust did not believe in LGBT, in any way.

You may choose to promote your agenda any way you like, however the holocaust is not yours!! Do not use the sacred name of those killed by the Nazis to indoctrinate our children.

    This story is highly inaccurate.

    I reviewed the proposed amendments.

All they are changing is that the existing Holocaust Education curriculum which is currently designed by the central Education Department, will now be designed consultation with the
New Jersey Commission on Holocaust Education - which actually appears to be a good idea.

    The current law reads:

"Holocaust and genocide curriculum" means instructional content, materials, and methods that
are infused into the New Jersey Student Learning Standards and meet the Holocaust/genocide mandate set forth at N.J.S.A. 18A:35-28.

    The amendment reads:

“Commission on Holocaust Education curriculum” to
mean instructional content, materials, and methods that were developed in consultation with the
New Jersey Commission on Holocaust Education and infused into the NJSLS and that meet the
    Holocaust/genocide mandate set forth at N.J.S.A. 18A:35-28.

The proposed amendments will more closely align the chapter with the statutory requirements related
to Holocaust/genocide education - simply because the curriculum will be developed in consultation with the
New Jersey Commission on Holocaust Education.

The second paragraph reads as follows:

Materials and curricula are designed to enable students to understand: genocide is a consequence of prejudice, bias, intolerance, and discrimination; issues of moral dilemma and conscience have a profound effect upon a society; and all citizens share a responsibility to oppose prejudice and discrimination in all facets of their lives.

This paragraph exists in the current law and in the amendment as well. Nothing here is changing.

    1. Mr ss. It's a terrible idea. Right now the schools may teach the hallocaust anyway they want. Now there's gonna be direct government control on how to teach, With material directly from the government.Of course they are going to teach The wrong way. For example all libs love to claim that jews and gays were killed in the hallocaust... כאילו זה אותו דבר.

    2. 'the schools' and 'the government' are one and the same.

    3. Currently each school decides if and what to teach and how. Once the holocaust commission is in charge they dictate what when and how.

  2. These libs will do anything to promote their agenda.
