  2. Interestingly this was the first levaya of a litvish gadol that had no hesped yiddish. For the American Bnei torah it felt anticlimatic

    1. Speak for yourself. The American Bnei Torah that I spoke with were just fine. It didnt even register.

    2. American Bnei Torah haven't been speaking Yiddish for many years. What planet do you live on?
(And no, "Yeshivish" is not the same as "Yiddish")

    3. Hi I am not the original writer but I live in Yeshiva planet and all Shiurim and Hespedim are in Yiddish.
Happy to be on a different planet than you.

    4. Isn't Yiddish a German language? Why would anyone want to speak Yiddish?

    5. Yiddish is Jewish language. German is German language. Many languages are based on others.

    6. Was also pertured by the lack of Yiddish

    7. And I'm "pertured" by the lack of English in this thread.

    8. The reason is simple. They were trying to chanfeh the non frum politicians, police defenders and stam fryers that would get themselves interviewed by the media about why they came to the levaya.
      New version of "Kidush Hashem"

    9. The fact is that almost all Chareidim in Eretz Yisroel speak Hebrew and don't speak Yiddish.
The American Bnei Torah are not the only people in the world. Reb Chaim was the Gadol Hador for all of us, not just the American Bnei Torah.

    10. it's a very serious valid point. and it may be a main part of the reason for the scarcity of true בני תורה in 'isreal'.

    1. I think its because they charge more at that station.

      Delete
    2. That's not a reason to pay more for your gas. Just go across the street or down the block for gas and pay less

    5. The chatzar of Reb Chaim is no different than the chatzar of Reb Malkiel. A chatzar is a chatzar.
Why was Murphy by Reb Malkiel. That didn't bother you???????? Only Bibi by Reb Chaim bothers you?????

    2. Besides the sefardim- 60% of Eretz Yisroel Bnei Torah do not speak Yiddish at all. All shiurim etc. are in Ivrit. Why would they speak in Yiddish??

  9. Gas stations at corners of Kennedy and county line and rt 9 are higher simply because the taxes are a lot higher seems they have state and local taxes that go hand in hand as u can see drive down thr block n u get same gas for half dollar off per gallon and same is true on the highway u see that gas atvthe first station is alot more exoensive than exit 102 and thats bed of taxes so noone is making more money just the government

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Why can't those gas stations just ask the committee to become part of the Cedarbridge Park so they can get free tax abatements for the next 35 years? This will help the residents as the gas prices will become more affordable.

    2. And it will also help someones grandchildren in 40 years from now. Please be grateful. Thank you.

    3. Shell at rt 9 and Kennedy is more than 30 cents cheaper per gallon than than Exxon right across the street

    1. @7:20 ok so now work on your authority in repeat for others. Obviously they're not sharing the details at least as of now and it seems that not saying anything would make it sound worse, so that's what's being publicised. Who cares? Stam to yente about stories? Main thing is the Yid we all Davened for to be found was found and now this part of the story came to an end and we just have to continue the part of davening that his family should have Koach and a Nechama.
