  1. Why are the videos in Hebrew? Don't the rabbanim know that there are nudniks in Lakewood who want them to speak in Yiddish? Shocking!

    1. Very simple. Those Nudniks in Lakewood just learn torah. Who cares about that.
Those fryer policemem are way greater. They are like the Sanhedrin! Who were also 'shotrim'.

    2. Fact is the Levayos of all Gedolim hespedim were not all Hebrew.
It shows a lot if they change that.
What is done in private Yeshivos each one does it's own.
      Im ain daas havdala minayin.
      V'im ain havdala ain daas.

    3. The so-called nudniks in Lakewood one hour of their Torah Learning provides more protection than the entire police force of Israel.

    4. Those nudniks should understand the Hebrew. If they are that closed minded that they cannot, they wouldn't understand the Yiddish either.

There is no reason for an Israeli to understand Yiddish, but there is every reason for an American to understand Hebrew. We all learn and daven in Hebrew, the different accent should not make that much of a difference.

    5. The difference between Lashon Hakodesh modern Israeli "Hebrew" is huge.
We do not learn and Daven in that language.
And go try talking to an Israeli in Lashon Hakodesh and wait for reaction.

  2. Why is the Cedarbridge Expansion Ordinance (CEO) back on the Planning Board agenda for their consideration on April 5th?

At the last meeting the members already voted to NOT recommend Ordinance 2022-015 to the committee for its approval. It seems like someone is gaming the system so the committee-men can have a scapegoat to blame this crazy land deal on..

    2. No free property-tax breaks for the rest of us too?March 24, 2022 at 3:16 PM

      Anon 12:34,

You're correct that the Agenda posted on the township's homepage doesn't show the review of the CEO being on the schedule. However, when you go the the Planning Department's Applications & Plans online folder you will see the correct Agenda document which does in fact show the CEO review as being on the Correspondence portion of the April 5th Agenda. You will also find a subfolder for the CEO documents.

      Here's a link >>

Planning officials were asked why the CEO is allowed to get a second bite at the apple after the board had already voted it down, but they had no comment.

    1. That's in them a deficiency.
By and large it one hasn't changed in a couple of generations. And it was in the past considered worth ignoring

    2. Mr Cohen - you are beneath contempt. If your word salad means what it seems, that Sefardim are 'worth ignoring', you really need a lesson in Torah. Perhaps an Arachim seminar would be appropriate.

The Chazon Ish was the one behind the change from Yiddish to Ivrit in the Charedi public in Eretz Yisroel, he believed that it was a purposeless fight.

    3. I was waiting for a couple days for someone to bring that up. It took that long.
No. He did not say it was superfluous as many, especially in Israel, now act. What he did say was it was not the crucial seam on which to die upon . Many great men insisted Sephardic and other
talmidim would be deficient unless they learn Yiddish
