Kashrus Update
KCL Kashrus Update
Updated: Shloimy's Kosher World is continuing with KCL Hashgocha.
- Dorot farms israeli carrots are being sold in local supermarkets they were spotted in Shoprite Howell, they are shmittah produce and should not be consumed
I was caught off guard when I came home with Grapefruits from a local supermarket (non-Jewish) and after taking a bite I awfully realized that it was from Isreal.
Some citrus fruit is still considered yevul shishis based on when it blossomed (I specifically researched the sweeties in Costco). It would still (possibly) need trumos & maasros taken, but you would be able to eat it.
I said you need to take trumos & maaseros. Not sure what you’re nervous about. (Btw the sweeties do have an ou, we still called to check the shmittah situation- both the ou and friends in Israel)
Can someone please help me. From what I know all fruits and vegetables in israel have terumos taken off by the Rabanut. Yes I am aware that many don't hold of the hechsher but isnt teruma taken off already>?

ReplyDeleteIf it dosen't have any Hashgacha, maybe it's T'ruma?
Maybe spend some money for Hashem!
