" He did not mention who will be running it but said theres a need for one since Lakewood has no senior center to help bolster its burgeoning senior population and keep them mentally, emotionally, and physically active,”

Att all those working at daycares - you are getting ripped off and taken advantage of it is time to unionize! Bringing home a yearly salary of 35k is pathetic - Daycares are coving that with just a handful of kids..it is time for all morahs to demand a starting salary of 50k - There is no reason why office jobs which were always similar pay to a morah are now getting a starting salary close to double of a morah - In a time where rent went up double in the last 4 years your salary should not be going up just a few hundred dollars a month from 4 years ago. And no, daycares will NOT have to raise their prices they are making more money than ever raising the parents hundreds a year (or getting thousands from CHS) and just throwing their employees a bone..

DeleteDaycares went up hundreds per child in recent years claiming expenses went up - basically using the morahs as an excuse to raise the price but failing to actually give the morahs any significant raise.
There's a reason why new Daycares keep on opening up..

ReplyDeleteChris Smith grants are getting diverted to a selct few akanim who ate using the public voting power to get millions of dollars for their projects instead of advocating for the entire Lakewood like widening rt 9. The new senior center will be run by a well connected askan.
