Today: Lakewood Township Committee Meeting and Budget Hearing

 Today 5:30 pm Lakewood township committee meeting taking place virtually, beginning with a  Public Hearing of the 2022-23 Municipal Budget. Total municipal budget is $125 Million of which $75 million will be raised from property taxes. (Does not include school district budget) see budget photo below.

Resolution Of The Township Of Lakewood, County Of Ocean, State Of New Jersey, Authorizing The Mayor Or Deputy Mayor To Execute A Quitclaim Deed To Kikar Shabbos 1, L.L.C., For Block 161 Lot 6 Here
  
- Increases in insurance costs are exempt from the Budget CAP and  the Levy CAP Law for amounts above the 2.5% allowable increase.

-Granting 5 years tax  Abatement To 1975 Swarthmore Avenue, LLC, For Facilities Located At Block 1607, Lot 4, 

- Adopting A New Chapter 29, Floodplain Management Regulations; Adopting Flood Hazard Maps; Designating A Floodplain Administrator; prior to getting permits
- Changing The Name Of Stradford Street  off chestnut To Colonial Drive 
 - Vacating Paper Streets Known and selling it to the LIC for $1  Inman Avenue, Keune Place, Reed Avenue, Nan Street, Elizabeth Avenue, Miner Avenue, Old Toms River Road, And An Unnamed Paper Street Located Between Blocks 1165 And 1173 In The Township Of Lakewood
at the southeast corner of the Garden State Parkway and Cedar Bridge Avenue, and containing 0.119 +/- acres, or 5,168 square feet, in the Township of Lakewood, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey

  1. Why are they giving more taxpayer owned land to Kikar Shabbos? Isn’t the transfer of the huge 2 million dollar property between 4th and 2nd streets — for ONE measly dollar enough already??
