    1. Even after the RY's answer, you will be in for a life filled with stress, aggravation and heartache. Imagine: you, the baal sechel, losing for decades(!!!) to your spouse, the totally wrong fool; with the hope and faith that one day, you'll have an acharis. Meantime, you are developing ill feelings and negativity towards your spouse on a daily basis, that you have to put up with his or her naarishkeit and shtusim (and everything else that it causes), knowing full well that you are right. Its a good recipe for a stressful relationship, and many visits - spending many dollars - to (worthless) marriage therapists. Been there, done that.

    2. Interesting to note, that not once did the RY mention in his answer the greatest yesod of Yiddishkeit: Hashem. Who gave you your spouse? Hashem. Did Hashem know that you and your spouse have different opinions on these issues? Yes. Did He still make your shidduch and His Will was to marry her? Yes. So, unless you think that Hashem is just playing one big joke on you c"v, then you accept your marriage as another one of Hashem's millions of kindnesses with you, and realize that Hashem wants you to be married to her specifically to face this challenge, in order to make something of yourself. If you think about these things - and there's a lot more to say - you will begin to feel calm and peaceful toward your spouse, not holding any ill will or grudge at all. And you will merit a lot of siyata d'shmaya in all your issues.
