- Lakewood mayor was asked yesterday at the Township meeting why there's a line allocating over 100,000 for the community center if it was knocked down and does not exist. The mayor had no answer and deffered the question to the town manager he punted it that the money will go to surplus and if they bring back the community center there will be funds allocated for it. The building was demolished and the Lans was given to a developer in a deal to build a new center which never happened.
- Last night a wedding took place where both chosson and kallah were from out of town and not many guests. Word got around and many yeshiva bochurim came by to dance and be mesameach chosson vekallah. The new couple thanked all the volunteers for coming and enhancing their wedding.

How’s the TAG Tesla campaign going?

ReplyDeleteSary's wigs don't sell wigs to Goyim, or to Modern Orthodox women. They are selling sheitlach to Lakewood Charedi ladies. If they had a business cheshbon to open an Instagram account, something that takes time, effort and money, their are obviously sufficient potential customers of theirs use Instagram regularly enough.
The TAG campaign of ten years ago seems to have failed miserably. Although many people did filter their machines, Instagram has also become a part of Charedi society. Newspapers write about people's Whatsapp groups and videos being shared, popular fiction includes young unmarried girls all over the internet, and money-making sites are geared to Charedi men. Obviously the campaign has failed.
Why are we trying the same thing again? Why aren't they learning from their mistakes? Shomrim cards, a scourge of our generation, have been shown to be useless and worse. Signs telling people to pretend they don't have smartphones by hiding them hasn't worked. Scary hyped up stories about divorces being thanks to smartphones haven't fooled anyone.

DeleteSuffice it to say that Rav/Rebbetzins often have not said what they have been purported to have said. One expresses himself one way, and people think that all others have said the same thing, because they too expressed themselves negatively.
Which Rav/Rebbetzin announced the campaign a success?
