He is a self-made-turned-breslov Hungarian/Chassidish guy (his grandfather was the posek R Yechezkel Roth). He is totally fringe and introduces concepts foreign to our Mesorah under the guise of Kedushah. I'm not saying that he's an Apikorus, but in no way should he be allowed to come to Lakewood and spew his shitos. Sorry it doesn't work that way. ReplyDeleteYou are wrong. Many of the roshei yeshiva have given a shiur in Monroe, Williamsburg and Boro Park. Your hatred and ignorance is why chasidim are thriving while litvaks aren't. Today's chasidim have oilam habba and oilam hazeh together. Litvaks are stuck with their hate and narrow mindedness. You can go introduce baseball leagues, kosher TV, super bowl parties, etc, yet criticize chasidim that are leading a life more similar to what R Ahron envisioned.

DeleteThis has nothing to do with Chasidim vs Mismagdim . It is simply advice that Rabbi Roth is somewhat unorthodox in his approach and it is advisable for people to research before attending to ascertain whether he accords with their own approach (I am not saying any opinion about him). There are ChasidIc leaders who don't approve of his style as well as others.
