ReplyDeleteThe past few years almost every job/salary had some significant raises 10-20k the teachers were getting a 2% raise maybe. In reality due to inflation TU Grand raise the teachers salary is really not going to be making any dent in Appreciating our teachers! Had they done this 5 years ago it maybe would be something of significance today it's matching the reality of inflation.. look at the minimum wage the battle for 15.00 is long over it's up to 20 with eyes on 25! Teachers will continue being the most underpaid job.

ReplyDeleteIf the parents dont help pay for the raises in teachers salaries, the teachers are going to stop working as teachers and there wont be a school anymore. There is a very large school in Lakewood who's teachers are threatening to quit together and get office jobs (offices are begging for employees) unless they get the raises. Wouldnt parents want to make sure the schools remain open???
