- Kim Jong Un says North Korea facing "greatest turmoil" since its founding as COVID-19 spreads nationwide with 21 deaths reported.

- Chabad centers of Ocean county will be making a Lag Baomer event in Lakewood at Pine Park. Last year it was done at the Blueclaws stadium parking lot and schools sent letters home that they did not support the venue.

- Local Rabbonim will be away this week for a conference of Lakewood Rabbonim  taking place this shabbos at a hotel in Princeton NJ. Harav Shmuel Kamenetzky, Rav Malkiel Kotler, Rav Elya Brudny and other Lakewood Roshei yeshiva will be on hand as they work on organizing a more permanent body of rabbonim to represent the community.

 - Matan Kahana Israel religious minister in Israel has quit from his position and will return as a full time knesset member after replacing a fellow MK that was kicked out of Yamina and from the knesset fearing he will defect. Kahana was the architect in changing the Kashrus and giyur laws away from the status quo. Several frum MK's celebrated his departure. He was also supposed to oversee the festivities in Miron on Lag Baomer. 

- Russia to cut the power supply to Finland from tomorrow.

- Trump on his truth social platform "There is no way Elon Musk is going to buy Twitter at such a ridiculous price, especially since realizing it is a company largely based on BOTS or Spam Accounts,“Fake anyone?”: “By the time you get rid of them, if that can even be done, what do you have? Not much?”

-  Russia's State Duma deputy proposed to put "Poland next in line for denazification after Ukraine," the state news agency RIA reports.

- Twitter deal temporarily on hold. Elon Musk wants to evaluate if spam and fake accounts do indeed represent less than 5% of the platform's users base.

- At the township committee meeting last night during the public comment section residents living in the Ridge avenue area White oaks Development  called into the meeting asking the committee to take action and help broker a safe solution with the approved plans for a yeshiva on Ridge and Brook rd. They are concerned about safer for their children and the expected traffic and parking issues as there will be a large banquet hall.  Some callers claimed that the plan presented at the planning board was deceiving as the numbered keep changing. They said they are OK with the school itself bit not with the business are adding 15 homes and a hall will  make traffic impossible. The proposed infrastructure improvements to the plan such as a circular driveway for the buses.

- Several residents asked why the Lakewood committee is supporting and reaching out to get a $4 million grant for The Bmg housing at the land purchased from GCU. They asked the mayor why the funding is not going to existing lakewood residents to improve the quality of life with building new sidewalks and parks. Why is a private entity not paying for their own infrastructure. The mayor responded that the town has always tried to help out with funding for local projects and is also continuing to add sidewalks and parks.

- The town granted a 5 year tax abatement to the new building of TVOL on River avenue that will house other offices as well. A letter was read that the area was improved as  3 old houses were torn down to upgrade the location.
