Politicians and bureaucrats seem to be smug in their positions and are used to a passively resistant community whose civility is inherent in their makeup because of all the years that they have been grateful for the Medinah Shel Chesed.  "Sometimes, our cozying up to politicians for other items that they afford us with leads them to a sense of invulnerability, even if they were to impose the strictest restrictions upon one element of our society". After all, we need them for other benefits and we won’t bother them about the yeshivos. Often, the fact that they help us in one area may be the very reason that they can hurt us in another area.(Rabbi Mordechai Kemenetzky, Yated Ne"eman)

- AKO Kashrus members will host a conference call today as they said  “After Manalapan, kashrus changed, There is no going back to the old way of doing things.” Mishpacha reports from the CRC that  kashrus agencies are suggesting certain changes to the meat protocols that should be considered by AKO members. There have been nine suggestions
One focuses on distributors, another is about who gets to order supply in a restaurant, another is about who is allowed to receive deliveries, another is making sure we have better cameras, artificial intelligence, some sort of auditing system. These are different things that hashgachahs are discussing post-Manalapan, and which we will be talking about together on Tuesday. We will be mechazek each other, and maybe agree to implement some of these suggestions more

  3. One focuses.....
This article is very inspiring as people, mashgichim, Rabbonim are trying to improve kashrus to the no-fail level.
In my humble opinion a key component has been omitted. Tefillah / Tehillim.
In order to saved from kashrus mishaps as well as all other mishaps one MUST be mispalell on a daily basis with specific kavanah to be saved from unintended michsholim.
Thus, in addition to the ..'v'al teviainu liday avairah....tefilla and the other similar tefillos, have in mind 'Manalapan" as an example for your kavana when orating these tifilos.
Better yet, say 1 extra kapital tillim a day to save you from these and other unintentional mishaps.

    1. Unless you’re saying a perek that expresses a tefilah why would you just say tehilim more than divrei hayamim or whatnot if it’s just the zchus hatorah you’re using as a segulah (which is dangerously close to lochesh al hamakah) then you might as well go with torah & neviyim over kesuvim

    2. All fine and good, for the consumer.
If I hear that a Kashrus organization included Tehillim in its program, I would be quite scared to eat from that Kashrus org.

    3. You havent spoken to the old time mashgichim who you could not pull anything by them. Asked why ? They all answered because we know that we need s'yata d'shmaya to help us keep kashrus at the highest level. We say a kapital tillim each and every day.
In our times we rely on cameras, look for extra chumrahs ( which the old timers never "looked for new chumrahs" all the churah were incorporated without fanfare). We look for a good shtikel goiyish food with hashgacha. We look for a good goiyish spot to complete the goiyish atmosphere ALL WITH hashgacha. No one looking a a little help from upstairs.
As long as you do hashgacha with the koichee v'oitem roishi attitude there will be scandals in places you least expect it.

  5. The halls have to stop allowing out of towners to come make chasunas here. If they want to book they shouldn’t be able to until two months or less before the chasuna. People in Lakewood have to wait 4 months or more to make chasuna.

    1. The halls are run as private businesses that make money. Their goal is not to take the needs of the community into consideration.

  7. Westgate Mafia gang not allowing shuls to be built is the main source of all this. They fought against kedusha against hashroas hashchina against a mikdash meat this is what happens when kinah gaavah taavah and shrara take over as chazal say motzeen es Haddam min haolam. Instead of having a abundance of shuls and Torah learning they fought it. That is THE problem.

  8. Many of today's weddings could be made in big bar mitzvah halls like Tashbar. As families have grown and most ppl can't afford sitting thru a meal every second week

  9. Wow now I understand the problem in wg. There are people so bitter and they have such hate towards anyone with a different opinion so how do you expect their kids to turn out?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Their bitterness comes from self defense. Isn’t that the new by word? How come you’ll be the first to say that these OTD kids are in pain...everyone should open their hearts...give them love... etc etc, but when people are in pain because their shul was denied due to kinah, sinah, gaavah and GREED they’re bitter and we should all make fun of them.

  10. Mr school owner we know you run your school as a private business as well.

  11. You’re right your shul was stopped and we love you dearly. If you don’t feel like we love you enough you could go OTD and that will certainly solve the shul/seat problem you say there is.

  12. Why would greed stop a shul? What shaychus?

    1. Greed doesn’t have to mean money. Greed for kavod and power is also greed.

  13. Yeah but everyone knows there were issues there and it had nothing to do with kavod etc.
