Thursday September 1 News Updates Lakewood

- Trump says he is considering offering full pardons to J6 detainees who were persecuted along with a formal apology from the US government

- Jackson Jewish community council issues a statement thanking the Jackson BOE in their help for transportation to the yeshivos and private schools. As of this morning 4000 children in Jackson went on buses to school. While there are still challenges ahead they are hopeful to have things cleared up and work together with district officials.

- As food boxes come to an end for this summer, state officials told vendors they plan on continuing the summer program again next year

- Heavy traffic this morning in Lakewood as bus routes begin for boys schools

- Ladies Adirei Hatorah event to take place Sunday of Aseres Yemei Teshuva  in a tent at the blueclaws  stadium parking area.

-ABC7 reports on the fox attacks in Lakewood so far there have been 6 children attacked It is not clear if the incidents involved one fox or more than one animal. see video here

- Following the Nekadesh event, TAG, is in the process of compiling a database of businesses who do not use social media to Help promote these businesses and provide a special status symbol for these businesses to display in their retail stores or print ads. Nekadesh will also be holding large stadium events for ladies in E"Y in the next few weeks like the ones they had in the US.

- Esrog socher R' Chaim Schwartz in interview with Kol Mevaser from Morocco says the industry is preparing to fill the need for daled minim this shmitta year and IY"H there would be enough schora for the American market. The current crop as is is beautiful esrogim. As for Italian esrogim most of that market will be going to E"Y to kfar chabad etc..and there should be ample amount. Lately more in the US are asking for those such as the Bobov kehillos. As for  Lulavim there are alot from E"Y with a hechsher ofthe Badatz Eidah Hacharedis. Those who sont want Otzar Bais Din there will be available from California and Arizona but there wont be enough to satisfy the wohle market for klal yisrael

- Lakewood mayor responds to homeless advocates who criticized the move to cut trees as town square  "the town’s quality-of-life task force suggested the tree removal “would make it a little less comfortable for people to basically live under them, and harass the folks that were coming and going from Town Square.” People complained they were “coming out to their cars and finding human waste on the ground outside their car, as well as reports of people urinating on their cars.”(NJspotlight)

- Israelis should refrain from traveling to the city of Uman in Ukraine for Rosh Hashanah, the Israeli Foreign Ministry said on Thursday Israelis should refrain from traveling to the city of Uman in Ukraine for Rosh Hashanah "The explosive security situation includes the danger of bombing from the air or firing rockets at civilian areas, including in the center and west of the country, which pose a real and immediate danger to life," said the Foreign Ministry statement, which urged Israelis in Ukraine to leave the country immediately.

    Does anybody know why there is a freezer matzav anymore? It's harming us, close it. If u want ur son not to go out right away fine, but don't force it on all boys.

  4. So is TAG going to be certified by themselves?!? Only they can use internet because it's a tzoirech, but nobody else!!

    The Nekadesh even ebded up being a fund raiser for Ani Chomah. As a result of this hype, Ani Choma convinced many Roshei Yeshiva that only their phones are protected, nobody else's. Then they lock their phones to their service, so besides the phone's jacked up price, you are forced to use their service too.

    If they meant l'shem shomayim, they would leave their phones unlocked to any carrier.

    1. Twice I saw a man using the bathroom in public by the 2nd st parking lot...and there was a Porta potty 5 steps away. Some pple are just low.
