  2. Could someone please explain what vacating a street means and what the implications are for the citizens of Lakewood?

  3. They clean it up and vacate it.

  4. Whats wrong with vacating the street. Its a small dead end with no houses on the street, and it could never be extended because its all privately owned land It doesn't hurt anyone in Lakewood if its vacated, and only helps a shul. So what's the issue?

    1. That strip of paved land is needed for all the cars that park there. The shul cannot expand because there will be nowhere to park except in front of the neighbors driveways.

  5. Shuttle bus lisason $75 for what? For answering a few calls a day and a side job??? That's insane!!! Don't they have any responsibility towards the public's money???

    1. Exactly. There is NO justification to throw 75K for a newly created liaison to answer a few calls and help coordinate some routes. What a waste of taxpayer money!!

    1. Or what happens when you do get through to the company and they tell you they were there at a certain time and you know you were outside at that time and there was no bus that showed. It's your word against theirs and you have no way to prove because they wont show you any info.

    2. No names. Just where they are up to in the route and if they passed my stop or not instead of putting me on hold for a half hour and telling me then that the bus finished the route.

  9. So DeSantis decided to show the world how terrible those liberals are.

He has a $12m fund, and he used it to shuttle those terrible asylum seekers to Martha's Vineyard. He will show the libs and the world how things work.
What did those terrible libs do? Did they shuttle them back? Perhaps place them in cages? Maybe they put on raincoats saying 'I don't care'? None of the above.
Those terrible libs immediately swung into action, finding food for the families, toys for the children and lodging for them.
And those parasitic asylum seekers? They all asked for jobs, not one of them wanted anything for free.

DeSantis showed them who's the good guy and who's the big talker.

How often do asylum seekin' 'pet project' show up in Massachusetts?

    3. @cohen y: do you own a home there? I will make sure these ppl will stop by for a meal and bed.
Is there a reason why one place has to burden all the ppl coming in? We need diversity in our country.....
