  2. the FAA article has too many insinuations against a public servant and tzorech tzibur beemuna reb menashe, the chasidash olam is growing so they need to have a voice, the Vaad is supportive of this choice and they are OUR collective voice to the umos halolam. Regarding Mr. Schnall if he worked for Aguda then he is used to following Daas Torah and the Moetzes on bigger things so I believe he will be a good voice for us in Trenton. I remember when Rabbi Sherer came to my school and said he does everything al pi guidance of daas Torah, that was the 1st time I heard of Aguda and have been a loyal fan ever since.

    1. What Menasha did is nothing short of a chutzpah he ignored the Lakewood residents by abolishing the rent control board and now appoints his buddy from Chemed who will follow whatever Menashe and his handlers decide. This has nothing to do with chasidish or litvish it is the swamp at work pitting in their own.
The chasiddishe olam is just as upset at the total lack of safety and quality of life that Menashe Ray Coles and the committee have brought on Lakewood over the last 20 years they were in power.

    2. Don't compare Schnall to Rav Moshe Sherer. Even Schnall would agree that doing so is a major insult to Rav Moshe Sherer. On a related note I certainly remember Agudah gedolim in Rabbi Sherer's time strongly criticizing other groups for doing things a lot less provocative and a lot less guaranteed to earn us enemies than trying to unseat a candidate in a district where his seat was considered safe because of his overwhelming public support , after that candidate has done so much for the frum community that Schnall himself is on record as referring to him as a "hero"

    3. Why is our committee so scared to publish a public advertisement requesting residents to apply to the planning board? Why does Menashe the Abolisher have to choose a literal newcomer, who understands diddly squat about how our town operates, to make critical decisions which will affect our vital infrastructure? It should not be okay for Miller - who is not even the committee's official liaison to the planning board - to give this important position to a new kid on the block whose only qualification is that he works for Miller at Chemed.

Miller's behavior is shameful once again!

  3. Do the gedolim approve to raitz uhn our neighbors? What exactly are we gaining more with this move to put in unzereh in higher office and poke the local incumbents in republican stronghold of ocean county.
The calls of anti semitisim are an old trick to attack anyone who campaigns against a frum candidate. This is disgusting and even if there are sparks of anti Semitic comments rearing it's ugly head well that should have been expected and thought out we are in galus and must choose our battles. Murphy and the dems are using us as pawns to fight off the Republicans.

    1. The Moetzes Gedolie HaTorah and the Lakewood Roshei Yeshiva.

I know they aren't as Choshuv as you, Rabbi Anonymous Commenter.

    2. As long as the Moetzes Gedolie HaTorah and the Lakewood Roshei Yeshiva aren't publicly saying that they support Schnall running and I know that they would refuse to discuss it with me if I tried don't tell me that Daas Torah supports Schnall running .

    3. Show us those letters and lests see how they address the concerns of sinas Yisrael
There's no trust in believing askanim that they spoke to moetzes it has been proven to be lies many times or misrepresented

The moetzes has no jurisdiction to tell the residents in Ocean county how and who to vote for and certainly not the chasidim or the sefardim

    1. Over 25 years ago Miami made a concert in Deal. The schools sent out a letter not to attend.

    2. Right
Until now, they went to Trenton or Philadelphia to make concerts for the Lakewood Olam. They called it a different name, but a rose by any other name........
      Now it has come closer.

      Delete
    3. Not sure if you realize it . Lakewood has changed and there are many 'different' types here who would like to attend locally and not shlep. If you dont like concerts 'al pee hashkafa' then dont go.

      Delete
    4. That was the point. A new era has arrived.

But it is not the 'different' types that brought concerts here. The first concert for Lakewood people was in Philadelphia in Wells Fargo Arena on June 22, and it wasn't made by chassidim, baalebatim, or newcomers.

  5. It's possible that the Ocean county GOP is guilty of antisemitism but let's not pretend that Schnall running does not have enormous responsibility for bringing out what was once dormant into the forefront. Even in Ocean County we are still in golus and should not act so politically aggressive that you would think otherwise. They could be wrong. We are still the ones in golus. Not them.

  6. The pundit who wrote an article in News week in support of Joe Biden against a majority of Lakewood voters and frum jews, does not represent anyone. Unless he's paid by a specific campaign. He should not lecture about antisemitism when he supports Biden and the liberal left

    ReplyDelete
  7. Even putting aside the antisemitism Schnall’s campaign is generating say he does win, what is he going to do for our community? He will have burned his bridges with the Republicans after ousting a Republican in a safe seat. The Democrats are not going to drop their opposition to things like school vouchers or anything else that benefits private schools which may come at the public school expenses because of him. So what exactly is he going to do other than the vague “have a seat at the table”?

  8. The Agudah has become the biggest purveyor of Anti Semitism in the frum areas. Supporting them is supporting hisgarys baamim to the highest level.
