  2. I have so much hakaras hatov from the days of Rabbi Sherer that i will support anyone affiliated with it. everything is in the yad of Ha-ehm if some Republicans are upset who cares? They are in the minority from state to federal government, clearly the Moetzes is maskim to Reb Schnall running so we MUST follow their lead.

    4. The olam is not voting for the democrat even if he has a black hat a rabbi and a hamlatza from the moetzes. We have hakaros hatov to the republican incumbents and not looking to start up and wake a sleeping giant to cause sins Yisrael.
There will be a massive PR campaign after the yomim tovim we know but it won't change the facts if anything it will scare more people away from voting as they won't want to go against the days Torah that will be shown. The will just stay home.
      Vouchers ain't happening so quickly

    5. Why do we owe hakaras hatov for the republicans freeing the slaves? We weren't slaves.

The fact that the 'olam's' anti-democrat attitude is greater than any other feeling they may have, should give us pause. Greater than כבוד תלמיד חכם, greater than בין אדם לחבירו, and even greater than some people's family ties. If someone is willing to cut off ties with a family member, or to denigrate a Talmid Chacham, because of political affiliations, it is time to re-evaluate.

  3. Rabosai!
The chance of rain on Sukkos has reduced since a couple of days ago. Our Tefillos seem to be working.
Reiss ein di himmlen, daven with all of your heart that Hashem allow us to keep Sukkos properly this year, that all of us can eat and sleep in the Sukkah all Yomtov, and in Chutz La'aretz to be able to eat on Shmini Atzeres too.
    אבינו מלכנו כתבנו בספר זכיות
Hopefully, Hashem will listen and we will stay in His presence for the entire Yomtov.

  4. Disgusting and despicable for askanim to play the antisemitism card and accused our friendly politicians just to besmirch them in a sad attempt to push a frum candidate. This in itself is causing sinas Yisrael and a danger to us.

Did these self proclaimed spokespeople call out anti Semitic comments daily on the scoop facebook pages or others that whirl against the Orthodox community.
We must not let the community get dragged into this.

  5. Rabbi Schnall opposes the school funding litigation. It is his position that he could get the job done by lobbying legislators without a court order. He feels that the litigation estranges legislators from his efforts.

People have been trying to get the formula fixed politically since 1997. I have letters from Dr. Canava, the superintendent then, explaining the problem. Township leaders tried in the Bacon case and lost. We did get a "Christmas Tree" of about $2 million in 2006, and he governor tried to put an extra $25 million for Lakewood in his budget in 2019 but the legislature rejected it.

There is no question that the legislature will have to act, but not because of lobbying, but due to the victory in court. The only question is whether it will be an extra $20 million a year, $50 million or more. Majority leaders Ruiz and Sarlo have already questioned the commissioner during appropriations hearings concerning how much they need for Lakewood, back in April after the major victory in court. I hope that Schnall reverses his seemingly opposition to the litigation because Lakewood will not survive as a home to the multitude borrowing $100 million a year, encumbering a billion dollars upon the taxpayers soon.

  7. The issues are exponentially more important than Democrat or Republican, or even vouchers. The is just one issue and that will be decided and this is in the BOE election. We need to send a message to the governor that the people of Lakewood speak with one voice in support of the litigation. This issue is more important than any election I have encountered. Will we keep our homes or not. Will we be crushed by our insolvency and debt or will be continue to thrive as a community under a healthy infrastructure of sufficient public revenue.

The governor has to stop dragging his feet hoping to delay the matter until the end of his term and settle here and now before every other district follows our lead should this end up in the Supreme Court. Once the BOE switches its position and supports the litigation, so will the township committee and our legislative delegation. Together with the support we have received from the people of NJ, the people of Lakewood have to let the governor know that we all stand together.
