- Prime apts: Ocean County Superior Court Judge has just declined two filings by tenants of Prime Apartments seeking to evict their landlord and appoint a receiver. However, the judge did permit the litigation to proceed. The landlord insists that he is in full compliance with the Rent Control Board ordinances which remain in effect despite the Committee abolishing the Board, and approves hardship applications if the (non-existent) Board does not act within 60 days. - At zoning board last night the live stream did not work for the first hour, the board denied an application for 28 homes off rt 70 near  on the north side of Route 70 between New Hampshire Avenue and Vermont Avenue, faanews reports  resident Aaron Hirsch for membership on the Lakewood Board of Fire Commissioners - spoke up in strong opposition to the application, urging "the safety of Lakewood children should be our priority over development."
 FAA News reports , the Board agreed to waived their previous conditions of approval after the Township's Zoning Officer erroneously approved a plot plan which did not comply with their conditions of approval. More

- Public comments continue to be ignored at the Lakewood township commitee virtual meetings a resident submitted this "Last month you were asked regarding drivers using Caranetta Drive as a cut-off onto Central Avenue. Despite that this is not a new problem which has never been brought up to your attention before, the Committee was clueless regarding the issue and simply passed around the blame to the State and County. Either you are too busy or you don't care. The results are the same, the residents of that area are suffering and need a mayor and committee that takes responsibility" read more at faanews

    Guys, without us, how will all the crises be solved? Think of all the singles out there... girls not yet in schools... tuition prices... people dying of covid vaccines (or covid itself - choose a side)... traffic in Lakewood... Mr. Lang and the BOE... inflation... people going to mixed concerts... parents being alienated from their kids...
    Raboisai, step it up! It's almost Rosh Hashanah. Klal Yisroel is depending on us. No slacking off during the week of slichos.
