  1. Does he really need to run as a rabbi?

    1. He went by the title rabbi beforehand . How is he supposed to erase it now? I'm sure his opponents aren't highlighting the title rabbi innocently. That is part of the cost we are all paying for his campaign. Everyone knew beforehand that it would happen.

  2. Why why why is Agudah doing this
why are they raitzing uhn our neighbors in a republican district causing sinas yisroel by poking the eyes of an incumbent who helped the community and having a Rabbi candidate flip the seat Democrat
    מהרסייך ומחרבייך
Agudah should STAY OUT OF POLITICS

    1. I have no opinion in this race, but I wonder if you would say the same thing if the tables were turned and someone was running as a republican to flip a democrat seat.

    2. Not that poster but if there was a Democrat politician who has repeatedly benefited the frum community in a district that strongly leans Democrat (do such people still exist these days?) I would strongly oppose any frum candidate running against him as a Republican. Let alone if that candidate himself has frequently been the one asking this Democrat for favors as the representative of the frum community

    3. Really??
What if the Democrat supports removing children from their parents values -many variations

      Now guess what??
      Almost all Democrats,that is.
Even as they kind of shield out our community till after the next election
Then we as usual let our guard down.
Then they as usual get to continue to boil the frog .

Every candidate , however their backers may try to disguise, must kowtow to that sooner rather than later

p.s.Favors ,like all mirages, are easiest cheapest thing to get from politicos.Like all mirages

  3. Don't they always preach hakoras hatov to the incumbant obviously only when it suits them
The olam in Lakewood is not owned by Agudah nor do they owe anything to Avi Shnall he does not represent anyone but himself there is much to be explained by this move and is actually insulting that none of the concerns are addressed yet they expect everyone to just follow like a sheep.
All this is doing is having more people stay home and not go out to vote

    1. Avi Schnall happens to be a wonderful person and a lot of people owe him hakoras hatov for being a helpful decent guy who cares more and tried selflessly to do a lot more than any politician. I am privy to some of what he did for hidden and he’s a genuinely good guy! No one is owned! Not The olam in Lakewood nor is anyone since we abolished slavery. I’m pretty fed up with the regular corruption but he’s not a part of it. As far as I’m concerned there is not much to be explained by this move and it’s one persons desire to serve in public office. I understand your hesitation but here it’s a pretty straightforward thing.
From one skeptic to another, he’s got my vote!

      Delete
    2. And therefore we should allow him to do what he wants because of his desire for public office?
He advertised himself as a Rabbi from the Lakewood community he has responsibilities to the frum community he can't just do what he wants
We are not ok with him trying to oust a incumbent in a republican stronghold to satisfy his liberal buddies in Phil Murphys administration. Although he only represents himself he is perceived as a leading rabbi in the community and this move is creating aiva and a potential Sakana this is no child's play and many in Lakewood want no part of this skeptics and all

  4. we must remember the Aguda is led by the moetzes and everything that the askanim do was 1st approved by Daas Torah, remember it is assur to question Daas Torah if they say black is white, than black is white. I am not worried about poling the Republicans as the governor and AG are Democrats so that is the cheshbon probably of the Gedolim.

    1. Sure as if everything agudah does they ask the moetzes.
They went after Trump attacking him without asking the moetzes and put Klal Yisrael in a serious Sakana to this day
The moetzes is not giving any political endorsement nor are they in charge of Ocean county.
Agudah was not voted by klal Yisrael to be representing us.
      Do they represent the MO
      Do they represent the Chasidim
      Do they're present the sefardim
      Do they represent the yeshivaleit
It's a click of TV alumni that don't even listen to their own moetzes and pick and choses who to ask when they need daas Torah approval
Please don't start with moetzes daas Torah talking points it ain't gonna work

      Delete
    2. Even assuming you aren't trolling and assuming the moetzes did approve Schnall running you never asked the moetzes anything and they never told you anything.. Therefore you have no reason to believe they would tell YOU to support Scnall's candidacy.

    3. The Daas Torah of the Lakewood Rabbonim is not to burn bridges with anyone because you never know how the political winds will be blowing in a year or two. They wrote a letter about a year ago cautioning the frum world not to jump on the "bash Trump" train because you never how things will be in 2024. Now that the polls are showing Trump either tied or slightly ahead of Biden with Trump ahead in all polls that are based on the electoral college alone you see their foresight. Kal V'Chomor when you are dealing with someone who already is in the lead like Kean with two Republicans for every Democrat in his district. (This putting hakoras hatov aside)

    4. "burn bridges" If we show them we actually have values we refuse to trade away, they might just treat us with seriousness

    2. What has candidate Avi Schnall done
Did he support Arthur Lang to get funding for Lakewood? The answer is NO
Did he get his leftist liberal freinds in Trenton to give funding to Lakewood the answer is NO
Will he vote with the democrats as an assemblyman to for Abortion, to teach our children about LGBT for toeva lifestyle? There's a good chance he will
So what is he doing this for
      Ohh he's gonna get vouchers!!
Sure from Murphy and the democrats who don't support the right for private education?
What is going on here is this all about someownes ambition for higher office

    3. Too mild
How will people in Trenton treat him?
      Like a clown!

  6. Now that Rosh Hashana is arriving, many people's minds have turned to doing Teshuva.

I have a message to the thief who went around stealing חומשים from Shuls. Nobody was moichel you, and you will not have a Kappara this עשרת ימי תשובה if you don't return them to each Shul. People used those חומשים, and now many stopped learning חומש thanks to your theft.

    3. The rabbonim said you are not allowed to keep it. It should be put away on shaimos Stop misrepresenting the facts.

    4. Nobody said you could steal it. And no Rav can issue a psak on someone else's money without a דין תורה in front of both sides.
Those Rabbanim that believe you are not allowed to keep it, can remove it from their Shuls and homes. The Rav of my Shul believed the איסור was nonsense, and a גנב still came and stole it.

    5. Most Rabbanim are aware that the supposed ban is utter nonsense, fueled by politics and other special interests. Nevertheless, tragically, most are scared to state this publicly.

    6. The bittul Torah caused by this disingenuous ban is monumental.

    7. I'm in full agreement. And by the way, the Chumash is wonderful in every respect, and was used by tens of thousands of bnei Torah, Rabbeim and laymen, who never found the slightest thing wrong with it. It is one of the most vital, useful sets one can own, explaining each pasuk and Rashi beautifully. Rav Kraus, who succeeded the Minchas Yitzchok in Manchester, and the great Rosh Yeshivah R' Avrohom Gurwitz wrote strong letters supporting it.

    8. A thief recently stole it out of my shul and thereby deprived hundreds of utilizing this unequalled masterpiece of pshat in Chumash and Rashi. That's an aveirah mehuderes

    10. You obviously never looked at the Chumash. The Rishonim and gedolei Achronim upon which it is based are kofrim in your skewed opinion!? And would great talmidei chachomim like R' Shlomo Miller, R' Avrohom Gurwitz and others write letters of support for heresy?? Every word in that Chumash is gold. You're just another victim of the "frum" herd mentaility, speaking about -- and condemning -- something you know nothing about. Sickening

    11. There is no "kefira" in there. This whole campaign of defamation and slander against this outstanding chumash was started by one bored individual in Lakewood who needs a job.

    14. Nothing there is quoted out of context. You're regurgitating the same lies that you've heard in the street and in the coffee room. And if you'll insist on being makpid on using exact wording of the rishonim, then throw out also all the other contemporary perushim on chumash, such as the ones from Oz Vehadr, Safah Berurah, Mikrah Meforash, and so on. And Mesivta on Shas should also be discarded. The fact that this is even a discussion is insane,

  7. Agudah askans have lost all trust from the community to believe them that they consult with daas Torah, there's too many instances recently where they acted alone.
Therefore unless we hear it directly from the gedolim an have a chance to personally express our concerns ,anything else means a big fat Zero

  10. Today is the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 tragedies that hit the world. Does anyone even remember what the shocking wake up call message was DIRECTLY FROM HASHEM relating to the 9/11 tragedies that were sent down as the planes hit the buildings.

Below is the complete SHOCKING MESSAGE DIRECTLY FROM HASHEM RELATING TO THE TRAGEDIES OF 9/11

Do you know that 9/11 is our sad day for over 2000 years? תשעה באב, 9 is תשעה Av is 11 אלול is 12 & תשרי is 1, how does that grab you? How does that shock you? What about the phone number 911? A number only used for emergencies and tragedies, that's also תשעה באב. That's America's emergency number for a minimum of 50 to 100 years, why didn't they pick 111? Wouldn't that have been a better number? Are you going to tell me because a baby running around the house might play with the phone & press 111 by mistake? These 2 tragedies-above-were only hint's to tisha b'av, but it wasn't enough to bring klal yisroel to start doing teshuva. So what happened ON tisha b'av 2005, i.e. no more hints to tisha b'av? Gush Katif/the Gaza Disengagement, it was supposed to happen on tisha b'av but they waited until Motzei tisha b'av, they did not even wait till the next morning, which means it was still tisha b'av in Chutz La'aretz (diaspora). Now let me ask you something, are these 3 tragedies-relating to tisha b'av-coincidence or is it a straight message from Hashem that its time for klal yisroel to wake up & do תשובה? You think about it, this is not between people, this is between each person & Hashem.

May we all accept Hashems wake up call for serious Teshuva and Achdus together ASAP so Hashem can send Mashiach already bkarov
