A Lakewood resident callson the entire community to take action on the dangerous roads in Lakewood yes it is erev Rosh Hashana but it can't go on anymore as people get hit daily by cars ending up with broken limbs wreaking havoc on families or CV worse. The blame is on this3 in office for the last 20 years for doing nothing. Township officials keep passing blame on the state and county, he asks how many applications did they send to county and state? What about the local dangerous roads under township control with no sidewalks?
What can we do? Coming up this November the only solution is to vote out the incumbents. We cant continue having children killed and injured daily on Lakewood roads. ENOUGH!!
If you don't go out to vote then you can only blame yourselves.
Can you please speak in English. Not everyone knows Yiddish.
ReplyDeleteYou want to get your message out to everyone than speak the language that most people understand. Thanks
Another request for English, but more importantly why the heck are you driving and videoing at the same time?? That's more dangerous than anything you mentioned. Your eyes are barely on the road. Terrible sakana.
ReplyDeleteBut he isn’t driving. What are you talking about? I know a lot of people don’t speak Yiddish, but he’s very well spoken and speaks effectively and to the point. Perhaps he can do it again in English.
DeleteIf you don't see him driving, you haven't watched the whole video...
DeleteThe onus is upon you young 'uns
ReplyDeleteLet him express himself as he desires
Ehr Rett Gantz fein
ReplyDeleteHe is making an excellent point. No need to pick at him - his yiddish is beautiful and he's very articulate. His point is perfectly on point.
ReplyDeleteIf you don’t understand Yiddish it’s your loss. We can’t speak for every harry.
ReplyDeleteHe is saying for those who dont fully understand 'DONT VOTE FOR ANY INCUMBENT.'
ReplyDeleteBH there are different options. The incumbents have done nothing for us the taxpayers, the people who live here, they are just talk. The current situation is dangerous and it is on the incumbents for allowing this to happen.
im in Lakewood for 50 years the problem is not the crosswalks children its all the building stop building he did not say that because if he dose he has no house to live in he is from Brooklyn stop bring the ny crowd to Lakewood its enough say that ill vote for u you are all corked
ReplyDeleteDid anyone ever think that the problem is all
ReplyDeleteOf us?
I remember lakewood when police gave tickets
I hate tickets
But they work
Instead when we get a ticket we all go like tattys to an askan that we know and the police don’t even bother policing because they are scared that whomever they ticket is gonna make a stink so rules become a joke
When drivers own the roads we have chaos
This is what happens to crybabies on the cops we get spoiled and everything and everyone gets ruined
Umm I don’t think he meant just crosswalks, maybe you don’t understand Yiddish that well. It was just one example of what a joke this town is!
ReplyDeleteThe problem is not a lack of policing either. It’s very simple, STOP BUILDING! Stop adding thousands of cars to roads that look like a parking lot all day.
ReplyDeleteWe needed to have a sensible plan to accommodate the needs of our community for affordable housing 20 years ago. Unfortunately once certain people were able to have an opening into the zoning and planning boards ,and township committee, all sensible planning was ignored to accommodate a few individuals instead. We need to stop grumbling and complaining . We need to fix what is broken and stop doing anything that isn't beneficial for everyone in Lakewood. Let's get this done . Tell everyone to come out and vote. I will make sure we have real live town meetings. If the committee disagrees, we will make our own. We need a nice peaceful revolution to save us all. Shan Tova!
