Hisachdus Letter Rebukes ADL

The largest Hasidic Rabbinical association in the US issues a scathing rebuke of the ADL's politicization of antisemitism.

"As American Jews, we are deeply opposed to politicizing anti-Semitism. Also, drawing attention to every minor infraction only gives rise to more hatred."

  1. Satmar can't even agree on who represents Satmar and they want to lecture us on who represents Judaism?

  2. Why does everything have to turn into being about anti-Zionism? The ADL isn't a particularly Zionist organization, the type of secular liberal secular Jews who support them are frequently anti-Zionist. Who appointed "Torah True Jews" to be the mouthpiece of Torah Jewry? I certainly don't think they are.

  3. I believe this is a fake as its written in English, if yes we need to see the original in Yiddish. Satmar unlike the Lakewood chevra uses OUR mama loshon in their day to day activities and not like the Litvaks only a levayas where no one understands the speaker.

    2. Does it make a difference if real or fake? What's written is definitely real and true the only question is did the hisachdus write it. Doesn't really make a difference.

  4. Quite ironically the closing paragraph is almost copied and pasted from the ADL website itself . Over there it says "Being critical of Israeli policies is no more anti-Zionist than being critical of American policies is anti-American." In general, with the exception of point (1) and admiring "Torah True Jews" most of this letter would have the basic agreement of the ADL

    1. ADL agrees with point 3?? They make their living off of "drawing attention to every minor infraction". Look at their statistics of antisemitism. Most things there you and I would simply ignore.

    2. The ADL also speaks against politicizing antisemitism . Unlike this letter that claims it benefits the Israeli immigration authorities, they claim it benefits Trump and the far right. The intrinsic accusation of politicizing antisemitism is something the ADL also makes and says is wrong.

What the ADL says doesn't make a difference. Actions speak louder. Politicizing it is wrong yet they do it better than anyone else.

  6. Hisachdus is filling the void of Agudas silence.
Agudah has gone left with attacking Trump and the right
Agudah remains silent when left wing politicians make anti Semitic comments
Agudah is scared of the ADL

    1. Let the Hisacdus fill the voids and the lack of activity of Agudas Yisroel when it comes to things like attacks on THIER , not agudah affiliated types, education system, metzitza b'peh, the red zones etc.. Then they can start worrying about the ADL. For a group that is the "mouthpiece of Torah Jewry" why haven't we heard from "True Torah Jews" about any of the issues above either? Does Torah Jewry boil down to little more than extreme anti-Zionist positions?
