Faanews  reports: Subsequently, he submitted a request to the Board of Education requesting a promotion. In his letter, he emphasized that, over a number of years, instead of getting at least a "thank you" for his tireless efforts on behalf of all students in Lakewood, he has repeatedly been retaliated against. The letter, in part, states: "It is a bizayon that I have to run around asking for help, to appear before the Roshei Yeshiva as a victim, when I am fighting the full might and power of the State of NJ on behalf of Lakewood and Lakewood cannot do anything against you. A hundred years from now no one is going to care that I had no parnasa, or perhaps they will care and cast those responsible as villains, but they will certainly will care if the school formula is fixed. We are not 5 towns or Teaneck etc.
This is a charedi yeshiva torahdig town and it truly is a בזיון!

    2. Finally we got a reliable hashgacha in town. BH. Now at least we can call 1 place safe to eat. OU doesn’t take garbage from anyone.

      Delete
    3. Bezoyan is a term
used for things that can't be explained

    4. I personally would not trust the OU hashgacha for restaurants.

    5. KCL needs some competition from an organization with real standards. While those standards maybe considered lower, at least they hold firm to them.

      Delete
    6. OU restaurants are known to have the strictest standards of all restaurants. Their products may have some kulos that others don't rely on, but their hashgacha is impeccable.
I would sooner complain about the Hisachdus establishments in town, which is an objectively much lower standard. That's the true Bizayon.

      Delete
    7. No problem. Don't eat there. I don't eat in restaurant s either way but I eat enough other OU certified products that I can't have an issue with anyone relying on their hecsher.

    8. The Kashrus standards in this town are a Shanda for town that professes to be a Chareidi town anything is better than what we have now

    9. Hisachdus Is on one store and they keep on doing things kcl wouldn't dream of, kashrus wise
Im not affiliated with kcl. They are just facts

  3. Explain in detail why the KCL is a better hechsher than the OU.

    1. The whole vort is just to NOT rely on the hechsher that they use "in the 5 towns and Teaneck." That way we can feel extra holy for just a little bit of effort. It doesn't matter if it's a good hechsher.

  4. Is Lakewood still ideal for a ben Torah to raise a family with all the gashmiyus and pritzus in public. Yes it is disgusting how ladies are dressing now walking around without any shame barely covering themselves this was never how they dressed in Brooklyn
There a total lack of sensitivity

    1. So what is the alternative, to embrace the antisemitic radical Democrat party?
Who hate Jews and Israel and love the Arabs who murder Jews are they who we should join?
The ones who support killing babies and pro toeva lifestyles bringing dor hamabul back.
      No thanks

    2. I'm no Trump supporter and only vote Republican as the lesser of the two evils but this article is nonsense. Among many things the Democrats are openly trying very hard to radicalize the Republican party for their own purposes. Small example. The DNC spent tens of millions of dollars last election promoting radical right candidates in the Republican primaries while the Republicans that amount opposing them. So the Democrats are responsible for the radicalization in BOTH parties

      Delete
    3. I read the article and right away was able to tell what type of guy I'm dealing with. His other posts confirm it. One of those guys who think that because they are anti-establishment they are so smart and know everything. A guy who spent too much time in the blog world and too little in the Beis Medrash. etci. I know you are going to say that I'm attacking the messenger. But this is an important point about those type of people. They all have a remarkably similar thought patter yet consider themselves so open minded. They all give you (at most) half a story and pretend to be giving the "real" story etc. They aren't people to take seriously or to waste time responding to.

    4. The DNC is responsible for the radicalization of both parties? Republican voters don't beat any responsibility? No personal responsibility: Sounds like the argument of a true liberal right there.

  7. Love how Hunter Biden becomes 'the Biden family' in order to spin matters. The Trump family received billions from the Saudis, yet nobody is complaining.

    ReplyDelete

    1. You can be sure that if the Trump family received billions from the Saudis illegally it would be the front page dominant headline news for weeks.. Every adult member of the Trump family was viciously attacked by the Democrats over the years. Even if they did not do anything illegal like Hunter Biden.

      Delete
    2. You missed the part where Hunter gives 10% to the big guy.

      Delete
    3. Are you getting paid to write against Trump or are you just crazy obsessed with him? Where does he come in on a Lakewood focused blog that didn't mention him today? Are you incapable of hearing House Oversight Committee accusations against the Biden family without mentioning conspiracy theories about the Trump family?

      Delete
    4. Oh, now it's a conspiracy theory that Kushner got 2 billion from the Saudis?

      Delete
    5. It's a conspiracy theory that Kushner got 2 billion from the Saudis illegally. In reality they invested that money with his investment firm. I'm no Trump supporter but only an absolute fool can believe that Kushner would be able to get 2 billion from the Saudis illegally and it would get ignored by law enforcement and most of the Trump hating media

      Delete
    6. Sure, the Saudis gave Kushner 2 billion for his business acumen.

Not sure where your heilige sensitivity about tznius and oichel beshuk hagdoros come to hashgocho.
If the roshei hayeshiva and rabonim make a takono then maybe something can be done.
But it's not a pesul on the KCL hashgocho

    4. Your ignorance is astounding. A Shuk in the olden days was a central market where throngs of people congregated. Even in such cases the Urim v’Tumim says that if a person is kovea a makom in the shul to eat he’s not posul l’edus. Tables outside of a cafe are certainly kovua, and the area around them ( a sidewalk and parking lot, usually) are not early as exposed and public as a Shuk was in olden times. While a Talmid Chochom would ideally not eat there regular people certainly can.

      Delete
    3. Heimishe hechsher sometimes means der masgiach bliebt in zayn heim. The OU is definitely more reliable than many of the heimishe hechsherim. The OU had a lot fewer scandals over the past thirty five years than some of the heimishe hechsherim

  12. With R Belsky gone how could anyone trust OU? 1. I’m amazed at how easily you’re able to give up your Olam Haba. If you would live a thousand years you would not begin to approach the tzidkus and yoisher of the YU Rosh Yeshiva Rav Soloveichik z’l - and the same is true of his gadlus in limud haTorah. Additionally,YU today is far different than it was 50 years ago. It’s probably superior to many ‘yeshivos’ in Lakewood and elsewhere. I’m not saying it’s Brisk or BMG but it is a genuine makom Torah with a packed Beis Medrash. It would do you good to go there instead of relying on your outdated and hateful misinformation.

    2. Agree with the former.
There were others endowed with similar personal private attributes.
(They instead chose to sacrifice them the sake of the community.)
In totality it's a fair debate whether he caused more damage than good.

He himself began to retract in his later stage.
As for the institution what makes it better than previously?

    3. You are not called upon to judge anyone, let alone a person whose gadlus in Torah was legendary from a young age and praised by Geonei Olam. You ought to remain silent - the zechus of Torah is meigin, and criticising someone , even an ordinary person, comes with huge avaira potential. Let the RBS’O decide these things- not you, me , or anyone else.

  13. The town is also paying for non-mandated non public students.
It cost about $900 a kid for busing and the parents only pay $280 so the town has been giving the LSTA a few million a year to cover the short fall

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Misinformed - Actually the LSTA was formed so they can pool all the money they get from the mandated students and use the extra money to cover the non mandated students.

  14. In a new report, the New Jersey Office of Legislative Services (OLS) is recommending that the Lakewood Public School District be considered a district confronted by severe financial distress, which would allow for the district to receive additional stabilization aid from the state.
The report also states, the Lakewood Public School district, which is severely underfunded, would benefit greatly from additional aid, similar to what the state Legislature did for Atlantic City.
The report goes on to say that the district could benefit from an increase in stabilization aid
This is a product of 20-plus years of work by state Senator Bob Singer (R-Lakewood), the Lakewood Township Committee, Superintendent Laura Winters and the Board of Education, Ahron Kotler and the Vaad, Board of Education attorney Michael Inzelbuch told TLS.

Quoted from the Scoop. The people who disturbed Mr. Lang's lawsuit are now taking credit for his work.

    ReplyDelete
  15. But if there’s not enough for the mandated students then there is no extra. That’s why they “said” LSTA was formed but with Lakewood style corruption it was more likely a way for some in power to make more money. Btw the year of Covid we didn’t get any money back, I wonder why.

    1. Your comment borders on kefira because it is implying (actually explicitly saying) that those who don't believe in Torah M'Sinia or in the case of Reform even a borey olam are less of a tragedy to Yiddishkiet than those who do say they believe in 13 Ikerim and keeping all halacha.
