Is the tochachah's mention of being returned to mitzrayim an abrogation of HaShem's promise that we'll never see mitzrayim again?

33.4% eligibility for sped Ed.?? That’s too high. Something is very wrong. Could it be due to evironmental issues, ie, immunization schedule, GMO foods?
ReplyDeleteI believe ‘special ed’ in this case includes ESL
DeleteIt's due to the frum Lakewood kids who need special ed are being registered in Public School. This should be looked at as a percentage of total kids.
DeleteIts actually less than 2% of total enrollment. 33% of PS enrollment.
DeleteIt has to do with overdiagnosing the need for special Ed so all the Kollel veibalach can make a parnassa as OT PT SLP etc.
DeleteI have been saying in my papers for a decade, and the record reflects it, and the witnesses have testified, that the percent of students out-of-district is high for a district of 5,500 but not for 45,500. For example, 300 going out-of-district out of 5,500 is five percent. However, since the parents of 40,000 nonpublic children will enroll their kids only for extraordinary special education services, not for regular education, the ratio is more in line with other districts, one percent. In other words, a normal district will have six regular education students enrolling for every one special education. Not Lakewood. 33% of 5,500 is about is about 1,800. But 1,800 out of 45,500 is four percent, well below the state average of 15%. The reason it is so far below the state average is because not all non-extraordinary special education kids enroll, but the numbers that do enroll are still high compared to the 5,500 regular public school students.
ReplyDeleteLook at the bottom of page 59 of Dr. Danielle Farrie's expert testimony:
Deletehttp://lakewoodlaworg.ipage.com/documents/February%2013,%202018%20RTranscript.pdf
"[T]he case in Lakewood is very different because there are mandated expenses in both special education and transportation that reflect the needs of the wider school aged population, not the resident enrollment population that attend the public schools. So the district is providing special education services for a much larger population."
See State Monitor Shafter's testimony on page 44:
http://lakewoodlaworg.ipage.com/documents/February%2022,%202018%20RTranscript.pdf
"[S]ome of them are going to be special needs and some of them -- and some of them will be severely -- have severe special needs that will -- that will need a free and appropriate education. So what happens is, those students are enrolled as public school students. And then the Lakewood School District pays to send those students out of district."
State Monitor Azzara on page 121:
When actually the universe that makes up what they’re responsible to provide those services for, includes the non-public -- I would say it includes the non-public enrollment. Because we have many orthodox students who are in private schools for the handi -- for the disabled. And they’re considered public school students because they’re special ed. But if they hadn’t been classified, they would have went to the Yeshiva. . . . The orthodox students as a -- pretty much as a rule, go to the yeshiva’s. They don’t come to the public school system. So if any of the orthodox children have learning disabilities or need special education, the District is responsible for providing it."
Thanks to Torah Umesora the tuition sky rocketed and the poor parents are stuck with the bill.
ReplyDeleteThey made a whole campaign to raise teachers salaries but all they did was force the schools to put up more money and it was passed along to the parents.
They were begged not to do it. Their response was that Lakewood is a rich town and the schools are charging much too low tuitions .
DeleteEvery rosh mosad is telling this to parents who are asking for discounts and can't afford to pay. They are blaming Torah Umseorah.
DeleteIts a chutzpah what was done to the parents.
Let Torah Umesorah own up to what they did with the campaign to increase salaries for rebbeim
all it did was raise tuition again and again which was not supposed to be the answer.
The money should have come from gevirim and rich school owners instead the poor parents are left holding the bag
Rebbeim got raises?
DeleteTU campaign came in at the same time as inflation skyrocketed. Unfortunately for them, any raise which they campaigned for would've happened regardless of their campaign - due to inflation /rising salaries everywhere...
DeleteProof - just look at playgroups something they did not campaign for, yet prices skyrocketed!
Poor TU, they are basically taking the heat for rising inflation - these raises would've happened regardless of their campaign!
TU needs to campaign and push for pay to go even higher, as the raise that rabbeim got now is only covering inflation.
The fact is it used to be impossible to get a Rebbe job - today, schools are begging for rabbeim - we need to pay our educators a living wage!
The Palm-Beach News has an accurate, yet fake, description of Lakewood.
ReplyDeleteLet that be a lesson to anyone who is inclined to believe the news about anything. When people warn us that America is going 'woke', they are messing with you. When they tell you about how everyone is going broke, don't believe them. And especially not news from overseas. They told us that giyus is an immediate and pressing problem. Yet it turned out to be more fake news.
How is the stuff you're smoking?!
DeleteKeep them to yourself
So some article may be possibly mistaken.
Admit your dangerous agenda
Therefore the evidence which daily is nearly about endless is all out the window!?
Well put
DeleteOnly an just arrived adolescent (give or take) can pretend the trajectory hasn't been going worse rapidly.woke at least
We are each a Marrano in some aspects of our experience compared with a few decades ago
DeleteThis happens the whole time.
DeleteYou don't have evidence, you have media reports. They aren't the same. They may be accurate, like this newspaper article. Yet totally skewed out of recognition. In this case, we know how that happened. In other cases, we don't know yet.
DeleteWe never have evidence about anything. Everything is media reports. How do you know your idol Joe Biden is still alive? Maybe Kamala Harris is the president! Do you have evidence either way? Have you personally seen Joe Biden? Or is it just media reports that he's still alive?
DeleteDude, everything is media reports. And there are enough media reports to know that the Dems ruined our country.
And we're smart enough to differentiate between the real media and the fake news MSNBC.
The crime in that one area of lakewood was due to the homeless shelter behind the ramada. I blv they have since closed.
ReplyDeleteWhy would a local paper in Florida report on Lakewood NJ crime
ReplyDeleteIf you look at their website they seem to have similar reports for a few other far flung areas, seemingly chosen by random design. Not large metropolis’ at all.
DeleteThey have lists of the 5 most dangerous neighborhoods in every city in the country. It looks like it was generated by some AI

Who runs Torah umesorah? Is there anyone to talk to there?
ReplyDeleteTzvi Bloom
DeleteMr cohen no comment?
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing poor about TU. They deserve all the heat and they couldn’t care less.
ReplyDeleteRebbeim make more of a living wage than the parents you want to pay that living wage. They get hud, food stamps, wic, chasdei lev, coupons at local grocery stores and clothing stores. Other perks before yt and when they make a simcha. They are doing just fine. I know this from rebbeim.
These silly arguments about programs and coupons has got to stop. why don't ppl become rabbeim? Because it's a hard job that doesn't pay enough to support a family. M
DeleteWhy does it have to stop? Nobody wants to stop
ReplyDeleteJust look around and you will see that the majority of rebbeim’s wives don’t work while the average working guy’s wife is working and they have crazy schedules and still struggle with the basics. If they have it so hard why are their wives not working?
ReplyDeleteIf they have it so easy, why dont more working guys become Rebbeim and become so rich and then their wives can stop working
ReplyDelete1. Not enough jobs
ReplyDelete2. Not everyone is cut out to be a rebbi
3. Not saying it’s so easy necessarily but not as bad as some make it and in many cases easier than the average working guy.
