Sad that the chasidim have fully taken over the music industry and there's no more litvish musicians singers or bands. Why are yeshivish bochurim singing chasidishe songs with heimish havuurehh about Reb Meilech and reb shayabenrebmoishe it's not our yiddishkeit. Bring back Regesh R Baruch chait or caelebach but not this new Hungarian or breslav stuff.
Anon 7:47 Can you explain what litvish vs chasidim is? What makes Carlebach, Abish Brodt, Shmuel Brazil Litvish and not chasidish? What makes you litvish or chasidish? Are you from the talmidei hagro ztl or talmidei talmidov? Do you know the names of the talmidei habaal shem tov of who you are their adversary? Do you like hip hop rock and roll or dislike it or do you know which music style is chasidish or litvish? Do you dislike the polish galicianer הברה?

The non chassidishe singers have turned singing into performing. None of their songs in recent history are ‘singable’ songs. The Chasidim ‘get it’ their stuff is geshmak.
Its called yeshivesh. The Americans still have singers simcha leiner baruch Levine etc by us no talent is respected so you gotta find talent somewhere else
They don't resonate with the olam the same way fried and MBD did, They cater to a baal habatish crowd and have a huge fan base other side of the mechitza
Carlebach with all his short comings his songs were accepted and sung by the yeshiva crowd he sang words and pesukim. The chasidishe singers today are not doing tha they sing songs with yiddish catch phrases reflecting the chasidishe culture and way of life about worshiping rebbes and visiting kivrei tzadikim. the clueless American yeshiva bochurim have nebach picked it up and incorporated into their music lgenre.
Litvishe mentality- when it comes to doing other things besides sitting and learning, it's doesn't Pas. Becoming a singer entails starting with small gigs at a Simcha, taking the risk of being a flop, etc. Same thing about being a truck driver. Did you ever see a Litfishe Mehadrin truck driver? It doesn't Pas. It only Pases to quickly make a lot of money in real estate.
What's so special? Looks like the typical tuna bagel performers
