- Bein Hazmanim begins in Lakewood for summer 2022

 News Reports:  FBI raid of Trump’s home is related to allegations that “Trump allies improperly removed boxes of presidential records from the White House after leaving office including some that may have included classified information."

- FBI raids Mar - a- Lago: Former President Donald Trump said in a statement Monday that his home at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, was “raided” by “a large group of FBI agents.”
Trump also claimed the presence of law enforcement was unannounced and the reason was politically motivated, though he did not provide specifics. “These are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home, Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents,” Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before,” Trump wrote. “After working and cooperating with the relevant Government agencies, this unannounced raid on my home was not necessary or appropriate.”
Trump claimed the raid was politically motivated by Democrats who don’t want him to run again in 2024.

- Several rockets fell near Uman today fired by Russian forces. This comes at a time when authorities are saying they will not allow tourists to come for Rosh Hashana due to safety  concerns.

- Car insurance rates for New Jersey drivers could rise over the next few years under a new law signed by Gov. Phil Murphy. The bill, which Murphy signed Friday, takes effect immediately 
The new law requires the standard car insurance policy to increase in January and then again in 2026. These changes would more than double the minimum requirement for a standard policy from $15,000 now to $35,000 in 2026.

- Murphy tweets My heart goes out to the friends & families of four Muslim men killed in Albuquerque whose deaths are being investigated as potentially connected acts of prejudice. New Jersey is home to a vibrant Muslim community, and I repeat, hate has has no place here. Critics say he is pandering for political gain while not mentioning other murders in NJ or the US

- National night out with Lakewood police will take place tomorrow August 9 at Pine Park from 4:00 pm - 8:00pm with free kosher food and rides Pizza and BBQ in separate locations.

- New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy is traveled to Israel yesterday for a four-day economic development mission, marking his third official visit to Israel since he was elected governor in 2017. It is his eighth trip to the Jewish state since 2014.

- An intense rainstorm flooded Lakewood and the surrounding area on Friday night, leaving most of the town impassable and stranding dozens of cars, police said. Four inches of rain were reported causing flooding, blocked roads and downed power lines. Most of the rain fell between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. The intensity of the rain brought the town to a standstill, police said. “Most of the side roads were impassable at one point,” Lakewood Lt. LeRoy Marshall said.  According to NJ advance media. There were at least a dozen stranded drivers and “too many abandoned vehicles to count,” Marshall said, adding there could be as many as 100 cars left on the roads. The heavy rain causes “numerous” basement floodings as well, Marshall said. NJ

- Neighbors hire attorney against application under  Yeshiva Chemdas Hatorah, to build a brand new residential development at the 17.5 acre parcel on the northeast corner of Cross Street and James Street with 125 homes plus basement apartments. That is 250 families, and approximately 500 cars. Faanews

    1. Every 20 minutes is mincha in each BM same for Maariv so you get a minyan every 10 minutes

  5. BMG Minyanim bain hazmanim have moved to Bais Yitzchok building. Main Bais Medrash is instead of Mizrach (with a handful of minyanim), and cheder alef and bais of Ateres Esther are instead of mizrach/maariv with shachris every half hour or so and mincha maariv every 15/30 minutes depending on time of day.

Hey Mr Governor! its nice of you to worry about the men in Albaqurqe but we would appreciate it more if you worried about your constituents in New Jersey who are struggling to make ends meet already and now YOU raised insurance rates and your Democrat Buddies in Washington increased taxes on everything else.
    The day you guys fall out of power cant come fast enough.

  7. Raised insurance rates? Why would anyone have the minimum coverage in the first place? You can’t replace a car window with so little coverage!

Getting the minimum coverage is negligent - 15k liability is a joke and you can seriously get sued if your in an accident.. it may raise the rates for the ignorant but responsible people should hopefully see their rates go down with uninsured motorist claims going down..unless I'm missing something as the bill sponsors are injury attorneys..
