  1. If a trip across Lakewood takes half the time now, and the only difference is Bein Hazmanim for the Kollelim and Yeshivos, does that show us that the Chassidim are not to blame for the traffic problems? It shows us that the traffic problems are not problems, they are opportunities for people to learn Torah and show respect for it.

  2. Trump has allegedly committed multiple crimes. The DOJ investigates and finds probable cause that a crime was committed and they investigate, raiding the alleged criminal's home to see the records.
What is 'radical left' about investigating crime?

    1. The American way has been innocent until proven guilty and there is a process of subpoenas to obtain documentation. If that doesn’t work, there are ways to obtain or force someone to give it. If you recall a judge fined Trump for everyday that he did not release his tax returns.
To have the FBI raid someone to obtain the evidence of a 'crime' is unacceptable and likely unconstitutional. The 1/6 committee does not allow Trump to defend himself, also not the American way. The 1/6 committee disallowed republicans who would 'defend' Trump to sit on the committee.
Learn some basic civics to understand how this country is supposed to work.
Would you be happy with police or FBI raiding your house to find evidence of some crime that you did??? NO and it doesn’t get done.
The raid was totally wrong. The fact that democrats are NOT speaking up loudly against this speaks volume about the terrible partisan nature that is ripping this country apart. Just wait until this gets done on the democrats you will hear it loud how wrong this is with the hypocritical media echoing the sentiments.

    2. When the investigations are done with a biased precedence and/or no proof of legal basis.

    3. Anon 9:12 - you seem to be a recent immigrant.
Here in the US, when a judge can be shown 'probable cause', i.e. a likelihood that a raid will produce evidence, he will grant them a warrant to search the person's property. They do that to people the whole time.
But even if it is wrong, it has nothing to do with the 'radical left'. That's just nonsense.

In this story, I don't think anyone denied that Trump took documents with him when he left the White House, which was certainly illegal. The 'law and order' party doesn't care much about things like that. But his refusal to return them seems to be the reason that he was raided.

The 1/6 committee has nothing to do with this. But the fact that they didn't allow people who had already committed to an opinion to sit on the committee is evidence of nothing. The REpublicans could have sent neutral people to the committee. But they didn't want to.

    4. The republicans can send whoever they want to so sit on the committee, that is how it has been. The dems did not allow certain republicans to sit there. The rrepublicans who are there have trump derangement and want to take him down. The democrats did not send 'neutral' people to sit on the 1/6 committee. Stop with one sided propaganda

    5. Anon 9:12 - you bring up valid points.
It now turns out that the Magistrate Judge (Bruce E. Reinhart) who authorized Mar-a-Lago search previously recused himself from Trump-Clinton lawsuit and cited a law requiring judges to be impartial as reason for recusing. Additionally, his previous social post criticizing Trump is now emerging..

    6. vote for democrats and the crime wave and bail reform is all on you.
Lets not forget that the plastic bag ban is also their brilliant idea. Bags NO marijuana YES.

    7. Yes, bags hurt all of us. Marijuana doesn't.

Also, if you don't understand the purpose of bail reform, you should not comment on it. It was absolutely necessary. Rule of law states that the price of guilty people going free is worth it that innocent people shouldn't sit.

    8. So just one request here. If it comes to light that the fbi wasn’t just looking for some painting or some scheduling note but rather documents or codes that have severe national security consequences, will all the trump apologists on this forum please come back here and retract. Thank you.

  3. To put it into perspective, 418 fatalities in NJ equals about 5 for every 100k, which is a similar proportion to 6 fatalities in Lakewood Lakewood.

    2. The am hanivchar should strive to do better than the average. Obviously, some places ARE doing better than average, by definition. Why shouldn't it be lakewood?

    3. What are the stats with the hit and runs in Lakewood? both of my cars have recently got sideswiped one we saw the other unknown. Ive seen others with drivers just driving off.. If high school kids can't afford to pay for their fender benders than they can't be given the keys! Unfortunately, they don't teach or test drivers how to pull into a spot - A car has a hood it sticks out and it swings etc. All they teach at Drivers Ed is how to pass the test - Getting into a spot in a parking lot is unfortunately not on the test...

  4. ATTENTION FOOD BOX DISTRIBUTORS. please do not pack milchigs and flaishigs together . Even the non Jewish packers at the grocery stores know not to do this reason....because many foods sweat and have the greese on the exterior of the package/bag

  5. Why is parking on Oak or Paco only a violation for Patrons of Lake Terrace. If it is illegal to park there, then it has nothing to do with who you are and/or who you are patronizing?

    ReplyDelete
  6. Does Lake Terrace have the legal right to close off the first entrance into the lot when coming from New Hampshire?
Didn't the board take that entrance/exit into account when approving the building plans?

    ReplyDelete

    1. No, they don't. It just makes the already terrible traffic problem even worse, and it violates the zoning board's decision.

  7. Not only is Lake Terrace violating the regulation by sealing off the Oak St entrance/exit and limit the patrons to access the site from only Paco Way, but they also use up a ton of spots for their trucks and other catering paraphernalia. As it already is, there are nowhere near enough parking spaces for the hall, and now a few dozen more spots are snatched away from the guests. It's a chutzpah.

  8. As a resident of Lakewood for over 40 years, I would have to disagree with whomever is saying that the traffic decreased due to Bein Hazmanim. That has, of course, always been the case. But I was marveling this week that traffic seems to be as heavy as during the rest of the year. I was wondering if there are more visitors to Lakewood in the summer. Or maybe the traffic is just shifting to different times of the day due to different day camp schedules. I definitely have not seen traffic being lighter.

  9. A real nice thing is the traffic on hefKervelt is much heavier bein hazmanim
